Only another 40 minutes and I'll be on my way home.
Got a parcel to pick up from the sorting office - it will either be my new ironing board cover or two replacement bowls for my dinner set from ebay. Hope it's the cover because the mesh from the board shows up on what I'm ironing the present one is so thin.
Then to sort out the items from under the sink, DH took them out when he was unblocking it and they are sitting in boxes looking at me - I'm determined to fling about half of the things. Then if time and energy I must clean the kitchen floor.

Is it ever acceptable to ignore the list and do more * fun* jobs instead.
These roman blinds will never get washed at this rate, and those poor pansies are going do be over before theyve been planted.theres just some jobs I cant be bothered to EVEr do!
I decided I cant move a kingsize bed on my own and this and rearranging the spare room shouldnt really be on the list at all! Especially as im surrounded by spare furniture waiting for people to collect ebay/ freecylcers.
so Im going to wait till the k floor is dry, and then im goig to get stuck into doing the dinner. And put the recycling out early- stuff it!
I might as well start drafting tomorrows list now, as Im not going to do much now from here on in:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hi everyone
You are all putting me to shame, I have done embarrassingly little house flyladying today! However I have managed a little financial flyladying instead.
Something I have been putting off for a long long LONG time, has been to sort out some credit card debts. I have read Martin's book and read his articles, yet I for some reason I was still clinging onto some shares as a "comfort blanket" even though I have credit card balances requiring attention. Well no more! The shares are now gone, I will be getting a nice juicy cheque in the post by Friday... in fact I have arranged the sale of my Standard Life shares too, so will be getting TWO nice juicy cheques in the post this week. The full funds from those will go toward my cards - I'll be less than £1k in debt after that. I will do further financial flyladying and get one of those 0% cards. If I work hard at it I could be 100% totally and utterly debt free by the end of this year!! Gosh, I've just cheered myself reading that again. I shall now get off my butt and do this little lot:
vacuum clean the hall & front room
give the bathroom a good surface scrubbing with some Starclens
put a load of washing on
I'm not really flying today, just sort of taking little hops without taking off. Hope to catch up with the rest of the flock soon.

Oooo errrrr WHOOPS
I went to work and got stuck there  I got in 20 mins ago, I've hoovered downstairs, put the animals in their runs and cleaned out their cages. I'm just having a coffee then I'll make a sandwich, I didn't have any lunch and I'm starving. Cleaning the hall carpet will have to wait til tomorrow :rolleyes:Bulletproof0 -
Hi snowy
I've not flown much today either - did a bit this morning then life took over. I have been sorting our car repairs, PTA stuff etc. I am looking at it that the fact I know I am making headway on the house gives me the space to get the other things done - life is not only about cleaning/decluttering. Will do a bit more after kids tea/homework before kids bed - stikcing to the morning/evening routine though helps.
Keep it up everyone in whatever you are doing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I like "financial flyladying"
And thats what I have to do tomorrow in the main. Plus I have to go and see my mate in hospital and I have a meeting to go to, so I might not really do any flying tomorrow. In all fairness, my flats looking great! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Sorry to take this slightly OT, but...... is this one of the things Martin recommends? Sell your shares and clear a bit of debt with it?
Meanwhile..... About to head home and attend to my list, if I can remember it...
Keep it up, all!!!

sorry

Well done on the financial flyladying. you'll save far more interest than those shares would have paid you.
I must crack on tonight seeing as I had a wasted afternoonI think I'll set too on the dining room now and get some laundry folded and put away.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
