moved ( referrer) threads

When a thread is moved to a different board ( often referrers) title still shows up in the original board, and if clicked thro' you just read it - perhaps not even noticing its been moved ( hence defeating object of moving it)
as there is no longer a statement " moved to referrers board, nor is the offending post having a comment added to identify it)

I see what you mean, I moved one from Small Biz to Anything Else this morning and when you click on it in Small Biz it shows the thread but you dont realise that you've gone onto the Anything Else board.
Think I preferred it when it says "This thread has been moved here" and you had to click on the link to take you to the thread, otherwise might be a bit confusing...0 -
There is also the option to move the thread without leaving the re-direct in. It's at board guides' discretion whether or not the re-direct should be left in the original board.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Edilass and I have just had a play with this
when a guide moves a thread to another board they have to actively choose the option NOT to leave a redirect,
and I think in the case of referral posts this is the best idea,
however if you move a thread to another board because it was in the wrong place, you may want to leave the redirect for a couple of days so that the OP knows where to find it, the only way of removing the redirect after the thread is moved is to ask the Guide of the new board to go into the thread and select 'remove redirects'I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. yes they do but we can't access the thread tools once a thread is moved to a board that is not ours,
Trafs idea is a good one if the thread is just 1 post but if it is a longer thread then the redirect may be useful for people coming back to itI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards.
