He's a tory fella, so he'll always get it wrong...

By the way, the joys of predictive text. When a mate last night started typing in "tory" to his phone, the first suggestion given by the phone was "unsympathetic". :D

    Made I larf....
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

That & the fact the whole of the Conservative Party are oblivious to the fact they selected a moron. ;)

i see that the lib dems are being made fools of already...

first Mr Cable's Graduate Tax is being [STRIKE]ignored[/STRIKE] 'overlooked' and then the [STRIKE]charlatan[/STRIKE] deputy prime minister calls the war on Iraq an illegal invasion which the Tories distanced themselves immediatly...

tut, tut - they better play by the rules otherwise the [STRIKE]big boys that make the rules[/STRIKE] conservatives are going to kick them out soon....

    Dave got it slightly wrong

Nick however made a complete mess of it at PMQ, requiring clarification statements from No.10 on Yarls Wood and the illegality of the Iraq War as soon as he left the despatch box.

Every day I think it is getting worse for the lib dems.

Speaking with a friend last night who admitted voting for them in the GE. He's furious with them. Every reason they gave him to vote for them they have backtracked on. He is adamant that he'll never vote lib dem again.

He is even going so far as to say when the AV vote happens, he's voting against it as he doesn't want "that party" anywhere near power ever again.

He agreed with me that there will be an ideological split in the lib dems, & that it won't take long for the cracks to appear.

But that did make me think. I wonder how many others will feel similar? If so, it means that the tories granting an AV referendum will amount to little other than a token gesture, as there could be so many people so angry with the lib dems that they'll vote against their notions.

Yes wasn't it a Polish pilot that the BNP used in their promotional literature - Classic icon7.gif

I wonder how many people voted LibDem in an attempt to keep the Tories out. As opposed to being true LibDem supporters.

Labour has yet to reinvent itself. So be interesting to see if the Blairites are comfortable with a more traditional Labour party that returns to its core values. Rather than occupying the middle ground.

In what way? Disbanded, sure, but so were loads of squadrons.

My OH's grandfather was in the Polish Army, and eventually (about 1943, I think) ended up in the British Army. He was demobbed in London in 1946, and became an NHS dentist.

F*cked over in that their country, which they had fought heroically for (and not just over Britain's skies), was sold off the the Russians via Churchill, Roosveldt and Stalin in return for peace in the West.

And then this hits the news stands relating to Nicks back yard, I think they will have to find him one of those nice Cornish constituencies at the next election
A Tory donor lobbied the Government to cancel the £80 million loan to Sheffield Forgemasters, it has been claimed.
Andrew Cook, chairman of engineering firm William Cook Holdings wrote to Conservative Business Minister Mark Prisk calling for the funding to be withdrawn.

it was the British government that decided to declare war on Germany in 1939 despite it being obvious that Hitler was no directly hostile intentions towards Britain. Letting the Nazis and the Commies fight it out would have exhausted both powers while allowing Britain more breathing space and valuable time to prepare her defences.
That's all very well, but in 1939 the USSR and Germany weren't at war, in fact they had a lovely pact going on.
So letting them fight it out would have been a bit difficult ;)

If Hitler had been a top class Military man, we would have easily lost the war, with or without the USA's help.
