Tesco misprice discussion area part 9

Before another person innocently stumbles in with a what is an SEL question...
Would it cause uproar to have a separate Tescos board like the Argos guys have? Then you could have a sticky at the top like other boards have with the useful information in clearly highlighted. My guess is that people jump to the end of the thread deliberately as they don't want to read about out of date info etc and so miss the useful first post.
Or add to the thread name like the Amazon guys do so its clear that there is advice for newbies in the first post?0 -
Not really, as you can see the mods are having a difficult time controlling this one.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

Hmm you may have a point ;o) wasn't wanting to generate more threads just a sticky - maybe adding a bit to the name is a better idea0

BFG - please don't post comments like that. We will all have this board taken away if posts like this continue. Not everyone can spell perfectly like you.
PS I didn't mean to thank your post, meant to press quote0 -
Can I just add to the this thread that if anyone finds a scanner not in working use within stores, a quick ring to CS, claiming you sometimes go in late at night and cannot find staff to price check, usually results in the store getting rung and the store getting somebody in sharpish to fix it.
I rang up about a store in the Midlands area and within 2 days it was fixed.0 -

Agreed, what is the point of pointing out someones spelling or grammar errors, you can clearly understand what the poster was saying, which in my humble opinion is all that matters. There can be very good reasons for spelling mistakes & some posters who are maybe self conscious could be put off posting on here, please be nice to all & most of all, show a little understanding.0 -

Exactly, so a sub-forum would be far easier to control.
Any threads by idiots/that have descended into idiocy could be closed easily, leaving the rest of the board unaffected.
Easier for the mods as they can easily see where things have gone wrong, instead of wading through 100's of pages of spunk.
That way the meat brigade and the xbox lot never have to 'interfere' with each other too.
And as redcar says, useful posts could be sticky'ed. Everyones a winner, baby.

it's not that easy, there are too many conflicting characters here, the forum is split into two mcamps, causing too much friction, and thus requiring moderation,
hopefully from this point in, posts will be related to the discussion of misprices and not threatning legal actions, correcting grammer, taking the michael or boasting.
that said, another store refused my megablox dragon eggs R+R the other day, they're getting sly when it's SEL's describing things, or mis-describing as the staff are insistingmoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

What a thoroughly pointless post! You also made a similarly pointless correction to another post yesterday. The main problem with appearing 'grammatically perfect' is that it puts pressure on you to be just that - I had a look through a few of your recent posts and spotted several grammatical errors. Would I highlight them and correct you? Of course not. Why? Because it's pointless and rude.....I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
Good idea guys.
We've just almost had the thread closed down as people keep involving themselves in petty battles, and 4 pages in we manage another.
Good work.
