No Mandymoo name should really be 'faded red car scratch down side'
was boyfriends off the cuff idea when I was annoyed after putting in about 10 different names when registering but found all taken - his comment later - why did you pick that?
I'm up in Coventry and usually go to a store with no scanner. Only try to R&R on things I would usually buy so only a verteran of a couple of bits of fruit and veg so far. Does annoy me that both times for under a fiver I've been given the refund the difference line first. Never had an R&R before I started looking - am quite keen on getting bargains from looking at SELs in stores but didn't used to check receipt now annoyed at how many of those bargains I may not actually have received.0 -

That could be the reason why.The questionnaire runs to 24 closely typed pages and ranges from broad questions about strategy to demands for 16 separate operational measures for every store operated by each grocer in every month since May 2001. A senior executive at one of the big grocers said the commission was demanding a "ludicrous" level of detail. "They even want to know how many toilets there are in each of our shops."
A spokesman for Tesco said: "They are asking for data we don't normally collect, in a certain way."
Hell of a lot more shops for Tesco to supply information for compared to ASDA. If Asda had 80 people working on it, Tesco would need over 300 to get the same headcount per store.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

We (as in my OH) had an arguement last night about this
I said if I didn’t accept the difference in price whilst in the store, how am I going to prove it a couple of days later if the poster or the sel is changed.
If tou have a receipt to show the difference than surely the store has accepted the overcharge even if they then refuse to honour their promise.
My OH pointed out as you did that if you are accepting the difference then the case is closed.
Anyone else any thoughts?
I know when I got a refund in the past and then called head office they said I no longer had the product and couldn’t do anything.
I think the only time I would admit defeat is with meat etc that can’t be returned at a later date if you don’t get the result you want.
Can I also suggest we have customer services telephone number and email address on the first page so it's there for all to seeLook after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -

Hi all, I was just wondering if I could have a bit of advice, My son had a Ps2 game bought for him for birthday from Tesco but he does not like it, he has not opened it at all, but my sister can't find the receipt.
I was going to ring them and ask what to do but just wondered if anyone here knows the correct procedure for these cases ( if there is one ) in case I get wrong info.
It is probably tough luck, but just thought I would ask. Thanks.0 -

I agree that you need to take the refund offered because this proves that they accepted that you were overcharged.
My advice is to contact head office whilst in store and let them know that you are not happy with the outcome and intend to take it further. They should take your name & address, and give you their name. Also make sure you get the names of everyone you speak to in store so that you can mention them when you send your letter.
It is also a good idea to send a copy of the letter to the store manager (make sure you get their name) if you have not already seen them. (Be aware that many people claim to be managers, but are not the store manager.)0 -

Hi,
If the game has a Tesco label on it and is unopened, most stores will take it back and swap it for something else from the non food section.
If there is no sticker or other proof that it came from Tesco then it is just pot luck as to whether you get a customer services assistant who will take it back. If the 1st one you try doesn't accept it, try another store or a different time of day and you might have better luck.0 -
Hi kellywelly
I know this thread supposed to be about Tesco, but if Tesco don't let you exchange it, then GAME might. I did this last week with a sealed copy of 'Prey' for the 360 and they let me change it for something else. Alot more choice as well. Hope this helps?0 -
Thanks for the info, will take it back and see what they say, he just wants to swap it or get vouchers for another time, thanks again;)0

Label 1: 5000012132500/02 - £45.97
Label 2: 5000012132500/03 - £51.99
The second label is the newest and the item will scan at £51.99. However, the other label shows a lower price which, by Law, Tesco should charge you as they have it on display. This means by charging the higher (although correct) price, you have been overcharged due to the presence of a lower price label. Hope this makes sense. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
