I think it really does depend on who you speak to at HO. One day I spoke to a guy and asked him what their policy was and he coudln't tell me :rolleyes: , the next day i spoke to a lady who knew full well what the policy was and said I should get an R&R. I can give you her name if you like but I think she'd wonder how you knew about her?

Can I ask what game you purchased? Did you pick up Test Drive Unlimited and get overcharged? Posters look very confusing this week with the different picture there!

It was a poster stating PREY this was on 07/09/06 at 10.04am have receipt in front of me still. So nearly 2 weeks out of date

Actually, that should have been an R&R. It's not your fault the store in question is unable to take down out of date POS. You bought the game of the week, as advertised in the store, along with the console. The discount did not come off, so you were overcharged.

That was my arguement I actually was stood there for around 30 m ins with this guy and have my sister as a witness. So annoyed that I was right. If I do ring HO again tomorrow what could happen as I have the reciept witness and name of manger. But no XBOX

I would call HO again tomorrow. You'd be in a stronger position if you had kept hold of the xbox, though. Still, give Dundee a ring and see what they say. Remember, the answer will vary depending on who you talk to in Dundee. If you don't like the answer you get, ring them again...

Personally, I would stand my ground a little bit longer. Ring the store, find the Store manager's name ( stores as Constantine has pointed out have lots of managers but one supremo). Send him/her a letter pointing out the store's failure to uphold the company's policy, thereby breaking lots of rules ( see Ben's posts he seems to know these inside and out.) Tell him how rude you thought he was.

C.C. it to the ASA and Sir Terry.

Then sit back and wait. They will probably reply, possibly with a positive result. It has worked for me in the past. If not, put it down to experience, go find some more.

And call me a cynic if you will but these were reduced by the bagfull at two of the Tesco's I visited last weekend to a rediculously low price! In one store there were two bags around 2-4kg in weight for around £1.80 and another store had around five smaller bags for a similar price. Did anyone else see unusually large reductions on this product around last weekend? Please post if you did as I for one would be very interested in hearing.

Let the past be the past and let's be nice and keep this thread alive.

I could have taken offence in the past when a certain Dude made remarks about my user name - but to be honest I wasn't offended 'cause I'm a laid back Dude with more important things in my life to worry about (like where did I hide my stash last night when I was having a paranoid CS-related acid flash-back?)

Divadee - can I suggest that if a single postee tries to scupper this thread that you take action against the individual and not punish the majority.

If 99 users are posting within the guidelines and 1 postee pops up with an offensive message - surely give that person some time in the sin bin?

I'm sure many here remember robert5686 - I believe that he was taken to one side by a Mod and given a talking to?
