Baaa!Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
kondormid, It is just a way of ensuring you have options open should somthing big come along and allowing you to shop there its not worth getting banned from the closest store to your house if that is where you do your weekly shop, I only r+r there if I am buying other things they get a bunch of my money and I get some stuff free, it hides the fact you just go to get freebys. The stores I call in when Im passing and pass often I will go for a few r+r items I want and buy a drink and a sandwich for my lunch again to make it look less obvious im just there for freebys.
The stores I may call in not very often its just blatent buy the r+r item and head direct to CS and point the overcharge out.
Another thing If I do get somthing big in any store I will try not to r+r in there for a few weeks and use the place for price checking then go to another store for any r+r's or check the CS staff are different from before.0 -
my case for the 360 is not going well, ive contacted head office, theyve contacted the store, ive been back in and they are claiming i picked up the wrong game because test drive was game of the week on the posters not lego star wars 2
the fact is, lego star wars 2 was in the blue cardboard game of the week section, with its tag firmly underneath, i go back this morning and lo and behold the price tag and the game has been moved, but the five women who hovered over me were all saying noone had moved it
then they tried saying that a member of the public must have moved the game and that wasnt there fault, i told them to check their security cameras and get back to me
im not a happy chappy, made to feel like a liarhellllllllllp

Yuh that was me, heard about the misprice from a mate who checks this site so thought i'd test his theory! I just joined this site especially to reply to your post, so feel privileged lol! Thanks for the well dressed comment too....made my day!0 -
Having read this post twice, I have a silly question:
If something has an SEL which is less than what you're charged at the checkout, can you then go to customer services to request a full refund, or just a refund for the difference between the actual and SEL price?
Some people talk about "full R&R", others just mention R&R, hence my confusion.
Thanks,

If you have been overcharged you should get the full amount you paid for the item back and keep the product.
R&R and full R&R is the same thing.
Good luck on your hunt.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -

Looking at your earlier posts, didn't they originally say the discount was only on the game, and offer you the game for free? That means they admitted that Game of the Week was the game you purchased! And now they are changing their story completely, making you feel like a liar when it's actually them who are lying.
Don't give up on this one. Ask them why they originally offered you the game for free, because that was obviously an admission of their mistake.
Give it another day or two then write to the chief exec Terry Leahy - see page 1 of this thread.0 -
hi.. darksoldier.. nice to meet you....i was the scruffy looking woman that went with the sa to check out the sel and we checked yours as well.....i'm the one that had the microsoft wireles mouse....
just a word of advice...go with the sa to show them the sel... as some of them are sneaky....peeps.. and take the sel and say it wasnt there etc....other people on mse.. will tell you the same...
it so happens that that sa is very nice...
and congrats on your first r & r..... i must admit.. i was going back for that later when they changed over staff on the cs desk...Work to live= not live to work0 -

Last night I had exactly the same problem as mummyno4 - I bought an Xbox 360 with Prey which was Game of The Week according to the poster (2 weeks out of date!!!) but they wouldn't give an R+R. Obviously I'm going to return to the store again today, and again on Monday if necessary - I took a photo of the POS which I've printed out. I also kept the Xbox and game in my possession, much to their annoyance, as they were very keen to give me a full refund and take the product back (I wonder why?!).
What these staff and managers are doing is disgraceful, really. They are trying to bully the customer into submission in order to cover up for their own incompetence in leaving the old poster up, and to avoid a rollocking off their area manager for losing the company £320.
If I have no luck after returning to the store several times and phoning CS in Dundee I'll make a formal complaint to the ASA about the notorious "Our Promise" poster on the wall. If Tesco are saying the R+R policy is entirely at the manager's discretion, or doesn't apply to items over a certain value, then there should be a disclaimer on the poster to that effect.
I personaly find this forum on Tesco policies quite interesting to the fact people are starting to stick up for themselves:T Stick to your guns, get the press involved Tesco do not like bad publicity.
With regard to the bullying tactics, all I will say be glad you don't work for them or you would see how much bullying they really do.Jasper :j0 -
Hi Jasper, are you a Tesco employee?:oThe most vital time to relax is when you don't have time for it.
