I'd love to do a mystery shop for Tesco. I wonder if someone could pm me or post the company details or I don't mind being referred if you get a fee for referral. ThanksLook after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0

If you are an average mum with a large trolley full of food and a small child you aren't going to have time to check every single item
I'm sure it all evens out some people get undercharged and don't notice, some people get overcharged and put it down to experience (thats if they even notice) and others are on here letting us all know what we could get for free if we are lucky and have a store where the shelves are not kept as they should beDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
Is it very low? I do not know and far be it from me to comment on constantines behalf.
It does not really supprise me though. 2 seems a low figure but 1 in 10,000 seems to be what I would expect. They did some research in Ireland years ago and found overall the shelves of Tesco were 3% or 4% (can not remember which) higher than advertised on the SEL.
Yet even with that figure, look at how many cars you see in the car park all day long. Yet have you ever had to queue to get your R&R through?
Hell most of the CS staff seem to "genuinly" think that an out of date SEL is grounds for refusal and look shocked when they find out from above that it certainly is not.0 -

I can't say who does the tescos mystery shops but there is loads of info on it in this thread and I think the answer was there although may now have been removed for confidentiality reasons.

I don't think we get referral fees and no offence but I don't think I'd want to personally refer anyone herethoughts of fox and chicken coop spring to mind...

Have to say that we always get a heads up when we are going to be test shopped, its called inside information, and I know for a fact that we are not the only store in the UK that is able to gain this info, it's a bit of a running joke amongst our DMs!0

There is a difference, if you are charged a lower price than that displayed on the shelf or product you have not necessarily been undercharged, you may have the impression that you have been but that is all it is your interpretation of pos versus actual price paid, the fact is you cannot be undercharged unless there has been an input error, the price you pay at the till is in almost all cases the price Tesco intended to charge you, sometimes pos is out of date and has not taken into account a recent price reduction thus giving the impression you have been undercharged, on rare occasion you have an input error such as the recent'/current xbox situation which resulted in an overcharge but could easily have been an undercharge, it is almost an identical situation with overcharges with the exception that the law states that where two or more prices are displayed the lower price MUST be charged or an offence has been committed. This is where r&r kicks in.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
You have to laugh don't you!
I was just looking at an R&R I did the other day and have realised that I have been over charged on the weetabix that I went in for hahaha, So busy looking for fished for R&R mistakes I did not spot the ones you get without trying too!
Anyone else had this happened?0 -

Do I come across as someone who would have a CSD trained like bulldogs?!?
1 in 11k seems very low in comparison to what? There is not a benchmark to compare it to.
Well if your CS are lovely that narrows it down - sounds like there aren't many in the country that are!!Don't say too much or the locusts will have you!
I suppose since I started looking for R&Rs I have found one (albeit small ones) in each shop. I only buy what I would normally, just look more carefully at the SELs and receipt. My maths fails me but that must mean the R&Rs reported here must be a huge proportion of them nationally? How many customers do Tescos have a week?0 -

Hmm. I would imagine the date ranges are fairly easy to find out but do you know the exact date for each store too and what the mystery shopper will do?
I guess depending on the size of the store mystery shopping will be more or less obvious. I don't think anyone in Tescos has a hope in hell of spotting me as it is too busy! :cool:0
