The phones are kept at the cigarette counter right next to the Mobile phone display. She was looking right at the offer as she put it through. Cant buy them at the normal till. Tried the other 3 stores but sign removed.

She just said "oh that should have taken £20 off" I will call a manager and get her to do it for you
Oh, that's a !!!!!!! Normally, you can pay for them at the normal till, then collect them from the CS or Electrical counter (depending on where they are kept). If possible, I would always advise against paying for anything at the Electical counter, as they are more likely to notice. I'd also advise against paying at the ciggy counter or CS desk for the same reason.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

  • I know, not sure if it is because it is a Tesco Metro. Made up for it by getting Bomberman for the DS though. Made them feel really guilty as I went back to work after lunch and went back after work. Said I had to travel all the way back to town to get the refund :-)

Not been doing this long, but does anyone else feel this takes over your life!!!
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

Had a thought regarding getting a Nintendo DS on R&R

In a couple of the tescos near me they have the DS lite at £99.97 and they have a mariokart bundle with one of the old chunky DS at the same price.

If I were to pick up the mariokart bundle and the GOTW would the discount come off?

Think it would be worth the arguement as the poster simply states "when bought with a DS" and I would be buying it with a DS!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

    Definately!

I got a Storefinder booklet in the petrol station this afternoon, been planning my day out tomorrow working out the best route etc.. Think I should be able to get round at least 8 stores 5 of which are extras!

can you get a refund on top up cards?

I haven't had a refund, but I have exchanged a TMobile top up for a Tesco top up. My OH thought they were the same thing  .

I'm still waiting a reply to my email from a couple of weeks ago. Will I get a reply whether it is positive or negative? I'm wondering how long I should wait before following it up.
I'm reluctant to call again when CS have already sided with the store manager.I'd like a repy even if it isn't what I want to hear so I can see what reason they give.
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves

Ohh...that explains it. My local Metro has the mobiles opposite the tills, too. Would you agree that the posters are hard to miss? A4 in size, red with big white (could have been yellow?) font.

The smaller one was still there and worst still the BIG one that goes across the top of the display. :rotfl: Just wish I had got away with it

Can anyone explain how the game of the week thing works with Xbox 360 etc. What do I need to look for?

You need a store to leave up an out of date poster showing the GOTW. You then buy the game shown on the poster, along with the console. Discount doesn't come off and you've been overcharged. Offer changes on a Friday, so that's the best time to look. However, no-one knows when the system is updated to reflect the new offer.

Which phone did you try for?
