You was not far off when you said an agreement with TS. They have been found to overcharge the average trolley at 3% with a range between 1% and 10%. They have been accused of overcharging the public and Ireland even said it wanted 33 million back to put into public funds to cover the overcharges in that country but Tesco used the R&R policy as a sort of get out clause. I am still not sure how this case ended up but I believe that was the end of it.

There are a lot of Tesco Express stores popping up all over the place - they are similar in size to Spars and sometimes are petrol forecourts etc. Does anyone know for sure if the same r&r policy still applies in there?

I doubt there'd be a CS desk in a tesco express store - does it just mean query it with the cashier?? I find the staff in Express stores much less helpful and friendly than in proper stores

R&R applies in these stores too, the cashier will probably call the supervisor/manager for refund though.

Fairy Active Bursts 45 pack - Yellow offer SEL £6.00, Scanned £8.98.

Tesco Finest Applewood Smoked Gammon Steaks have the wrong SEL (again!!!) - £9.65/kg, pack £10.31/kg

Two bags of dishwasher tablets and two packs of gammon R&R no problem.

Just tried these dishwater tablets with the Lemon ones, they scan at £8.XX, but werent included in the deal, so no R&R for me. On the large yellow SEL it didnt say only original and this was obscuring the white higher priced SEL.

  • anyone know how long i should leave it before chasing up a reply to the letter i sent Sir Terry regarding one of his stores?

I only sent it on Monday, registered post, but they haven't even bothered acknowledging the copy i sent by email.

If it gets to a couple of weeks without a reply, whats the best thing to do? Ring his secretary or write another letter giving them a time limit ie 7 days to respond?
  • I would second that, def give them a call tomorrow and ask to speak to him
    very helpful and professional

Just spoke with Joanne Leith not K Kelly. She was just as professional and she's sending me a cheque.

Thanks to everyone and Tescos.:j :j

  • When I get my R&R's, are the Clubcard points automatically taken off?

I am sure they are not, so what I may do is get me a couple of high value goods, then return!

Will I be wasting my time??

You will always keep your points on R&R's. Go try some biggies to boost your count.

    Works for me!!!

Just had r&r on 2 packs of these, they didn't mention anything about it being original only.
  • Got £160s worth of R&R today, so am a happy bunny. Some of these store staff can be really, really stupid. I'm not tarring all Tesco staff with the same brush, but one particular one I encountered today was unbelieveable.
