I'm raising my hand and saying that I've stopped too - 8 hours 45 minutes since my last one, and I've saved £1.73 (well it's a start
). I've got a patch on and am finding that the draggy yearning feeling in my chest isn't too bad, indeed in some ways it's a bit spacey and pleasurable. First thing this morning was tough, but a ciggie after a meal was always what I found hardest to resist, so after breakfast I had a clementine instead; I don't particularly like them, but the taste is so strong that it cancels out any ciggies cravings and at least they're healthy. I've read the Neil Case and Allen Carr books, and I prefer Casey's style, so I'll be rereading. I've written my reasons for stopping on a card and put it in my wallet. DW is being supportive although she's still smoking (outside).
Good luck everyone who's stopping today, and well done everyone else who's posted their successes and hiccups - it's been an inspiration to read.Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0 -

Well, happy new year all.
I'm into my first day back at work since starting the reduction phase of my quitting scheme. I'm due to be down to 7 today and on target for 5 by Friday. I've got my spreadsheet of scheduled fag times pinned to the wall!

Just a quick message of support to you all who have given up/are giving up/are going to give up smoking.
It is 14 weeks today for me which means I am just shy of having saved approx £750 since quitting smoking.
Good luck to you all.I'm the only gay in this forum
