The thing about the Neil Casey book is that it gives you a technique at the end to 'reprogramme your subconscious' (the bit that tells you to smoke). This is what did it for me and it confirms all that is said in the Allen Carr book
Welcome Elfin123:hello:
OK, you have now convinced me to get the Neil Casey as a back-up for any future wobbly moments . . . :beer:still a SF nerd no.1:o
Quit date: 03/09/2006 ----> £1,000s not spent on tobacco(21/03/2010).:D0 -
Got to 1000 hours at 11.05 this morning. 8 hours short of 6 weeks. My next goal is 1500 hours which will be 3 weeks less 12 hours. Well done to everyone else.
Still not missing them. :j3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -

so do we reckon SUNDAY 6PM as stop smoking time then. By then I will be able to get hold of a copy of allan carr, and hopefully started it too.
If you get the Allen Carr book, he advises you to keep smoking while you read it and not to quit until he tells you - which is near the last page!0 -

The OH is in, we'll get a book each and see what happens then, rather than putting a time on it!Proud to be dealing with my debts

My OH read the Alan Carr book and stopped smoking. He was good for about a month I think, then he went out and got royally drunk and started up again. This time we are going to do it together. He suggested it again this time and said he wanted to give up on Monday. I am a little worried that he is starting his new job then too, working nights.
Anyway hopefully we'll be able to do it as we are spending £5.13 per day!!! :eek: Which we cannot really afford and I would rather we save that money for bills etc..
I'm glad I've found a board to chat about this :T0 -
