Well done to all those who have given up smoking, that's great.

I'm looking to stop smoking, as from Monday, so would it be okay if i joined you?

welcome babes - how are you planning to tackle it?

I'm going to start on the patches for the first couple of weeks, then gradually try to ease myself off them. I don't smoke too much during the day, it's just on weekends, nights out etc, hopefully i'll be able to tackle this.

    Thank you for the welcome.

I've cut down to a few a day now, considering I have to do a half mile walk in three inch heels if I want one at work and I don't smoke cigarettes in the house because I hate the smell (silly I know)

:o I've been going outside with DH since i've stopped because I love the smell. I know, i'm odd:o .!

Thank you so much, I thought I was just being over protective of my reasons, but it isn't their business is it? It's the same when anyone at work is selling a house - 'how much are you selling it for and how much profit are you getting out of it?'!! Crazy!!

Welcome Babes21!! :hello: Please join us!! As you can tell, I post a lot on here, it allows me to vent frustration without taking it out on those who wouldn't understand.

Sorry, missed a bit of Babes post and had to edit to remove stuff otherwise I would have looked stoopid! :o

If you haven't already tried it, I would recommend the Allen Carr book/s (yes, I know, all you regulars, there's a surprise:rolleyes:). His method worked for me in a weekend. I've been off the ciggies for just over a month now and haven't missed them a single bit. To save me repeating others' wonderful words of wisdom, you should have a look back through this thread for the rave reviews.
I've found visiting this thread has helped more than I ever expected. There are some very inspirational words here (people, you know who you are:A ).

Allen says ... you are supposed to watch others smoke, and pity them! I think someone is missing the point, just ever so slightly.... :rotfl:
