Perhaps he's just going to have to learn that he's not getting any more of them until you cure your chocolate addiction.

squirreltufty wrote:well done darlin- proud of you! (is hubby showing any signs of conversion yet?)
Cheers Squirreltufty! Hubby is still smoking outside, I don't know how long he is going to keep that up, but I believe he is still on 10 a day.
I won't pretend that I haven't had the urges, sometimes it is so strong, but I just try and think of someting else and I haven't given in and won't either.
:j £65 saved by me up to today! At the weekend I am going to go shopping to treat myself and then throw everything I have at the credit cards and holiday. Hooray!! :j
Told a lot of people at work today, so that's another hurdle out the way!
Sorry to hear some can do a week, hope you get through the barrier soon.

Most of work know now and I am finding it frustrating, mainly with the non smokers. They corner me and say -
Them: I hear you have given up smoking - why?
Me: Because I wanted to
Them: Because of money or something? What made you do it?
Me: Mind your own bloody business!!
Them: Has your Husband given up
Me: No - why? What difference does it make to you?
Why do people pry so much? Most (except one) smokers and ex smokers are great - they say 'how long?' and 'what method?' and 'cool' and away they go.
Non smokers are so damn nosey!! Of course I haven't been as rude as detailed above, but it is what goes through my head.
Am I being over sensitive about this?

Of course you are but as a recently stopped smoker you are perfectly entitled to be.
I stopped 17 months ago after 40 years. I told people I wanted more control over my own life and being dictated to 20 times a day by nicotine didn't fit with that.
Well done for giving up - its never too late to stop. :beer:0 -
merlin ive been snacking more than i normally would but as of yet ive not put any weight on which is good! but im not gonna complain to much as ive been a smoke free person sice 10pm on the 10th so nearly a month and that works out at roughly £110, which i have spent in boots as i get staff discount, managed to get loads of xmas prezzies for teachers, kids and other family members

I've cut down to a few a day now, considering I have to do a half mile walk in three inch heels if I want one at work and I don't smoke cigarettes in the house because I hate the smell (silly I know)0

Well done to all those who have given up smoking, that's great.
I'm looking to stop smoking, as from Monday, so would it be okay if i joined you?0
