can someone explain a bit more about AMEX because i've just looked at the Who uses Who i.e credit ref agencies and there is no mention of who AMEX use,do they give a decision online or do they verify you by documents etc.,thanks0

From recolection, I think they check both equifax and experian. They don't give you an instant decision. They will verify you using the voters roll and the credit reference agencies. If you are not on the voters roll, they may ask you to send proof of address in.0 -

I applied for the AMEX card monday morning and just checked with them.......I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED........with a credit limit of £2.6K:beer:

Are their earning limits on Amex cards? I know Egg said no to under £10kNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

For most Amex cards a 20K earning limit applies. There Are some Amex cards which dont have any earning limits.0

I may be missing the point here, but what's so good about having one of these AMEX cards? There's no 0% offer that I can see, the standard APR isnt anything spectacular, and (as far as I know) Amex still isnt accepted everywhere - certainly not as much as Visa and Mastercard........
Could someone shed any light on this?!0
