Bike ride done with - feeling much better now than a week ago. Shows how much I can improve in a week.

Bike riding plan for the week ahead is Sun, Wed and Sun with maybe one more day in the week.

    Shred plan is Sat/Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri

    Excellent!

Jam made! 6 jars of lovely strawberry jam made ready to go in the food cupboard for me and for presents later in the year. Checked the prices in the shop yesterday to price compare and the premium comparison was £2.19 - £2.24. Equivalent cost for 6 jars is £13.14 - £13.44. Nice was to spend an hour or so too.

    Sugar £0.50
    Strawberries £2.50
    Jam Sugar £1.99

    Total £5
    Cost per jar 83p

Will keep an eye out for some more seasonal fruit over the next month to preserve and get back in the jam making swing of things again!

Right time to start the garden clearance after a cuppa first of course!

Decided to clean the house instead today and tidy it up and leave the garden for tomorrow.

Dog taken on a nice walk around the nature reserve, Shred L2 day 2 completed - already better than yesterday but still hard work!

Tomorrow is the trial run to work and back for 24 miles to see how I get on for a commute, garden clearing, usual washing and ironing and watching Le Tour finale - what a result!

Well I'm up and about ready for the day ahead.

    Today's plan is
    Usual dog walk
    bike ride
    Sweep and mop floors
    Sweep up and clear garden
    Washing
    Make courgette lasagne for tea
Sort out commuter bike bag and work bag
Watch Le Tour and have a little rest!

Attempted the trial cycle route to work - after getting lost 3 times decided to give up and make a loop route instead. Maybe should have driven it first! Plus some of the route is quite hairy over motorways and not for me on a daily commute to work. On the way back saw lots of signs for the cycle route and thought would give this a go one Sunday. Also not sure I'm fit enough to get to work and start work 10mins after arriving. After over an hour and a half on the bike had chance to think over what I wanted to do. Keep going out after work, keep a longer route for weekends, do this route again, maybe after work one time. Leave commuting until next year? Keep working on fitness cycling, walking and strength training.

Garden clearance after an early lunch then a rest before the bike race!

Garden bin filled and 1/3 of garden cleared, swept up, few gooseberries picked, got mega scratched by brambles - ouch!

Floors swept and mopped and now drying, washing all drying on the line

No need to sort out commuter bag now as not commuting by bike anytime soon. Work bag to get ready later and courgette lasagne half preppred ready to go later on after long dog walk. going to use gooseberries up in a apple and gooseberry crumble and custard for afters - yum!

Well after the hot water failed AGAIN and could only get an appt that wasn't the best arranged for Wed meaning would have to take more time off, EON decided to ring me twice to arrange a better time and by chance we did. Meaning I got it fixed after work with the engineer waiting for me. That's better, and I'm thinking much more favourably about EON now as a result and the problem should be fixed for good after the last engineer decided to not replace it.

Next job is to sort the laptop out after a hinge on the lid snapped yesterday for no reason at all. I'll contact the shop tomorrow to see what can be done.

Also returned home to a print out of Mr Dog's weight loss from the vets which they had kindly sent out to me after not being able to print it out last week. Very kind and I'm ringing them tomorrow to say thank you. It's a reminder too to keep on track and also realise he still has a little way to go only between 0.5kg - 1kg max. Also a reminder for me that the job isn't quite done yet for both of us.

Did Shred this morning and have planned will do it all week and have Sat off and Sunday bike riding

Forgot to mention, discovered a helpful looking workbook today from an email from the guru herself JM that I will print out tomorrow which will help me gain focus over my goals and keep me on track with them too as I don't want them to drift off and reign in some of the ones that have done

    Today's report.

Got up and did Shred before work again, didn't really fancy it but felt much better after doing it. Plus tomorrow I will be half way through 30 Day Shred. Now that's what I call progress.

Also workbook printed off and will be working through ut later on

Chores today after work was rehanging curtains taken down yesterday and washed. Also cleaned and hoovered all carpet usually hidden away and wiped skirting boards down too. Now have done the same for the front door and will be hanging that curtain out to dry shortly and tomorrow while searching for some more heavy items to wash while its warm!

    What else?

Hmm, tomorrow will be Shredding and cycling and long dog walk all in the plan after work then its time to find a nice birthday cake recipe too. Forgot to ring the vets to say thank you and must remind myself to do this tomorrow
