£30 extra payment to CC2 today
Will aim to do this again next month. The min payment is approx £70 and will top it up to £100 with this extra £30 to make a little headway on this balance while concentrating on CC1 repayments.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Feeling pleased with life today. For the first time ever I went for an a/c review at the bank and it went really well. They agreed I was tackling my debt in the right way by aiming to pay of the smallest balance first and we both agreed I was in for the long haul with my CC and loan debt. Everything else was ok and they told me I was not high risk overall. My CC are the things that are pulling me down and once one or 2 are paid off the picture will improve dramatically.
Gave me some tips about what to focus on next and what to concentrate on for now alongside sorting out some life insurance and a will, with no pressure to buy from them but to check my own benefits first in this area. I'm really pleased I went as it clarified what I'm doing as ok. Usually I do all I can to avoid my bank with my ingrained sense of fear about my debt. With facing up to it at last and taking some steps to sort it out I decided to go, for some reason I don't know, and I'm really glad I did if only for reassurance about the steps I'm taking to address this
I've actually taken the right path and the right steps at long last and that's a pretty good feeling.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
New bank a/c is open now for £365 in £365 days challenge and has the Jan payment of £31 in it. Will be doing this monthly for the rest of this year
Just had a thought for what I could use the £365 for? Either for CC repayment and/or car tax - will come in handy next year for this and a good way for me to save up for it and not stick the car tax on a CC like I have done before in the pastfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

A thought occurred to me on the AF thread. I'm having a long overdue night out on Friday all being well. And for once I'm really looking forward to it instead of saying I can't go. This is part of my plan to go out when invited instead of saying 'Oh no I'm not going' Part of that was to do with me and part was to do with not wanting to get hammered anymore. I feel in control of that now and its not doing my head in like it did before when I would spend weeks weighing it all up endlessly.
Also my new plan as part of the crazy clothes challenge is to wear a new pair of shoes and use a different bag for work as I have a few new pairs of shoes I've never worn and I wear the same pair of boots over and over again. Get them worn!
Before I would have been more bothered about what people thought if I wore something different but now I realise no-one will say anything if they do notice! It was all about me feeling self conscious and dreading what people say.
Anyway, off I go to do some more assignment writing in a while and get closer to the finish line and reference the piece. Here's hoping its not a late finish today!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Hello,
I've just come across your diary & had a good read through. So much of it chimes with my own life . . . I've been on & off the booze wagon for years & can go for months without any & be quite happy & then feel the need to have some at the weekend. Only recently have I actually taken note of exactly how it makes me feel & look TMA; not good & not pretty.
What an amazingly oraganised & determined person you are
. I'm stunned by your list of preserving goals & do wonder whether there might be some way that you could sell them to rise a bit of extra cash to throw at the CCs.
Please can I be nosy & as what you are studying ?0 -
Hi Pippi x
Hi Lula - I'm doing a masters part time alongside my full time job so life is crammed full atm - its a health related masters. Critical appraisal due in tomorrow - eek! 700 words to go and quite a long way off being finished at this time.
When this is submitted having a few days off studying and am going for a run tomorrow night (long overdue haven't been out for weeks with all this on!) and starting the marmalade making with the sevilles I bought yesterday. Going for some tradional marmalade first then trying a whiskey version with some more - yummy. Beats shop bought stuff for a) the price and b) the number of ingredients in c) the taste!
Looking forward to this week even though its a very busy one at work at least some of the studying can ease off!
