Hi my MIL is one of those people who knows everyone and is generous to all - she supplies me with bin bags of baskets... I'll post a piccie of the hamper later.... I'm wondering about whether to do hampers as an MSE way of making money - I could sell them at work I think and at a craft stall. If I make some I would otherwise give to family then if they don't sell I still have that option...:money:

  • Haven't been on for a while. MIL came last week and was meant to be helping out but just sat on her behind most of the time. To be fair she is very good with Max but useless at everything else. She tries to wind people up and goad people all the time (everyone) so I have told OH that she is not welcome to stay with us anymore as she adds to the stress and I won't be staying with her and FIL as I don't really even want to be in the same room with someone so toxic. The worst thing is she thinks she is prefect and she rang today and I answered and she was like 'Hi' in this really affectionate voice. I just passed her on to OH. She is a psycho.

My mother is arriving tomorrow so can't wait for some normal adult company and someone that helps out in a practical way rather than waits to be served dinner every night.

OH got the news about compressed hours this week. He got them and they start from November! We are both thrilled. I might need to go back sooner than this due the medical complications I have with this pregnancy (Not able to walk far, lift) but its hard to know until the baby is born as it might rectify itself once the baby is here. We will take it one day at a time.

Debt wise we haven't been adding any but hardly been reducing it either. I hope to pay off some this week and also pay off the remainder of my buggy, then I can collect it!

Great news about the hours and your mum coming over.

Don't worry too much about the debt for now, at least you haven't been adding to it. I'm sure things will get clearer when new baby is here and you move back to Ireland. x

  • Hi all,

Quick update to say baby Evie arrived into the world at 2.24pm this afternoon. It was a hard labour but managed to avoid the epidural and got home to my own house at 7pm this evening.

Will update more over the next few days. Am so happy to have a little princess xxx
