OK, I'm really confused now... what's the difference between Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit? I put our details in and it came up with £412 CTC and £0 WTC. Is that over the year or month or what?! Never had anything to do with this stuff so I'm scratching my head!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

It's over the year. We never qualified for working tax credit either. I think it is if you are on a very low income.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hmmm, must be very low! I played with it pretending that we both cut our hours down and nothing changed, so I made OH quit his job and it came up with £2276.42 CTC over the year... put him on benefits and it jumps up to £2340.48 CTC and £3516.24 WTC! I don't like this... why is it that the less money you put into the system the more you get out?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Because it's designed to support the least well off, rather than help those whose circumstances are impacted upon when they have kids. Work should always pay, but sadly it often doesn't for low income families.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Am feeling very motivated about getting rid of the debts today. I am going to go on Music Magpie tonight and get rid of any CDs we don't want. I have also signed up for my 1st mystery shopping assignment at Dublin airport. The fee is great (£12). Am raging I never did this before as I get a free meal and also money. If I do move home with the babies am going to sign OH up to mystery shopping as he will be in the airport every week so it could nearly pay for his flights as well as getting free food/drinks.
I also signed up to Fishtext so it only costs me 3p to send texts home to Ireland. That should cut my bills down by about £30 per month. All will be used towards the debt. I also have about £350 in work expenses due to me (although I was late sending in one lot so I hope they are lenient) so am hopeful that the Virgin card will be gone this month and then we will concentrate on OH's credit card.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thats great CMD. Which company have you signed up with for MS? Can refer you to Retail Eyes if you aren't with them, as they have most of the airport jobs. They only usually release one wave of airport jobs a month, and you can only do 3/4 a month although if you call them they'll often give you more. NIM and I loved doing the Dublin run as we'd make about £80 every time we flew through. Don't forget you can get ones in your airport this side too.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
