Okay - maybe I should just blame my hormones, or it is possible that I am going slighly mad, but I can't contact my boss until this Friday so I am half tempted to email the HR lady and see if I can take all my annual leave before I go on maternity and see when the earliest I can leave?
If it is a case of just another 6 weeks maybe I can stick it out?
I really need some advice here. I think OH is getting really frustrated with me now as I keep chamging my mind.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Oh jee, I don't know CMD! I can understand how it's hard to pick when you're not 100% sure on either choices. If you were to be able to take your annual leave, and just had another 6 weeks to go, do you think it would make being there any easier? On one hand, 6 weeks isn't that long at all but on the other it's one and a half months and that's one and a half months spent in a place you can't stand.
Personally, if it was me, and I knew we'd be able to cope without a second wage I think I'd just leave. It isn't worth the stress, and like you said you've got your family to think about. Hope you're okay!0 -
Hi CMD.
I think you really want to go but feel bit guilty. Don't! Just do what's right for you and I think you know what that is.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Thanks Cinny and Tir,
Your right. I do feel very guilty. I feel guilty that I am not contributing financially to the household. Well, I am doing AQA but that is about £200 a month, which isn't a whole lot
I spoke to my brother this morning (he is a HR manager) and he said he will fall off his seat if they allow me to take all that annual leave before maternity leave. He thinks they would offer to pay me before I left, which would leave me working until July.
So I think I will save myself the stress ans just quit. There is something to be said for holding on to my dignity and just leaving rather than stressing about trying to get every penny I can from them.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I think that's the right thing to do for you. Obviously your OH has agreed for you to leave so you don't need to feel guilty. Just think about yourself for a bit. Good luck.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

I think you're making the right decision CMD, I really don't think you'd be well if you had to stick it out until July!
I don't think you should feel guilty either, sometimes jobs just don't work out like they should and it's unfortunate that you're not really able to hop into a new job because you're pregnant, I can't see many employers jumping at the chance to employ someone who'll be off on maternity leave in a few months! You can make ends meet for a while which is all that matters really and you may find that you can use the extra time at home to do some extra money making before your new baby arrives.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
