There are a lot of good intentions on this thread about a situation that must arise on a regular basis for schools and clubs that look to provide a service to all children. If you look at the charity boards you'll see people regularly trying to find ways of raising extra through sponsorship/funding etc as the parents can't afford to pay anymore.

Those good intentions regularly seem to be that the individual will have a whip round, happily pay more etc so the child wouldn't have missed out. So out of interest, how many people after reading this thread have made additional donations to support the local schools and clubs?

I would like to think that I have past and present - I consider helping to organise and run fundraising events - donating expensive raffle prizes mainly curtesy of too much time spent on the Grabbit Board :D (scouts/school) to be making a donation

As we're agreed it is a lovely idea maybe you should try and work towards making it work?

Maybe even join a group of like minded people and work collectively towards it?

Spread the word and hopefully democracy will do the rest

Are you recruiting or something? Do you need the commission that much?

Is there a problem with being a hard working mum who put the needs and education of all the country’s children first and is willing to fund it through taxation, rather than individual parents having to make the choice between something educational at the school or “not going out for one eve/not buying clothes/booze/fags” in your case and/or food/mortgage/bills etc in other less fortunate peoples cases?

that was an example all be a bad one mine is food morgage and bills yes i smoke bad habit but i choose to give my child a good education and will do what ever i can to help them
