Ninky we give £Billions in Aid to these countries. The average Somali is more interested in finding food and water than the Copper,Uranium and Bauxite mines that Africa has......Theres no way her actions can be justified.........

I believe her actions can be justified (she has got what she wanted), what cannot be justified is the authorities allowing it to continue after it came to light. I am sure they can end a tenancy awarded due to fraud.

As I said on the other, similar thread......

Somalia is a f*cking hell-hole and its capital, Mogadishu is probably THE most dangerous city on earth.

But surely there is somewhere safe between there and here?

indeed. the uk is not the only nation to take somalian refugees.

Do other countries give 5 bed houses to the ones that commit fraud?

true. however, if the wealth of these resources was shared with them perhaps they could live as comfortably as we do in the west. western nations have also been exploiting somalias sovereign waters due to a lack of adequate defenses.

can lying / fraud ever be justified? i think it probably can schindler lied / committed fraud to protect jews during ww2 (whilst also lining his own pockets).

This isn't Germany in the forties and this woman isn't Schindler. I think he faced slightly more than community service if he was caught.

is it? i thought it was that she had lied? i'm getting a bit confused as to what people think the main issue is tbh. it seems to change from post to post.

i don't think she can be blamed for our benefits system even if she can be blamed for expoiting / abusing it. surely natives of this country are more to blame for that.

I think it is the fact that she lied and is now benefiting from it (with the colusion of the authorities) that is the main issue. The fact that she is from abroad and appears to have contributed nothing to this country just rubs salt into the wound.

But this thead was started about a particular news article and not the general state of the benefit system and the systemic fraud that goes on(by all creeds and nationalities)...Feel free to start a new thread on the subject and I'm sure we will all give our penneth worth..

No one is blaming the woman for our system but neither do we feel some sort of racial guilt that blinds us to her actions.

She accused a man of a crime he didn't commit so she could get a nice house. By anyones standards it can't be right that she is rewarded.

you don't know the man involved. the fact he was in prison at the time suggests he possibly wasnt' exactly an innocent character.

i'm not suggesting that we should feel racial guilt actually. however, the feeling of entitlement (or lack of it) by virtue of place of birth that has been expressed in some posts is the opposite side of the coin that suggests collective responsibility for wrongs done.
