In fact they look they Barratt homes to me as we have some being built down the road here.Let us know if you find out

How can you tell what they look like?! Or are you a local too?!

I did ask the selling EA, but they weren't sure and said either Bovis or Redrow......
  • You could call both of those developers. You might be passed from pilar to post but they should be able to tell you. The other avenue is look at you local search, there should be some planning applications on there for the development. Call your local council and ask to speak to your planning department, quote the planning application and ask if they can tell you the applicant. You can also speak to the highways department. The development (depending on how old it is) would have been entered into a Section 38 Agreement at some point, the highways department will be able to tell you which developer it was.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

Yes that's a great help, thanks. I'll go down those avenues and see what I can dig up.

    Thanks again.

Google tells me "Amethyst Drive , Sittingbourne , Kent. Situated on the Bovis new homes site on Sonora Fields is this approximately 1 year old 2 bedroom property". There may be other builders involved so you should get an answer specific to the place you're interested in.

Google tells you wrong then! It's Feldspar Close, Sittingbourne, and it's a 4 year old 3 bed property!!!
  • I keep looking on google for you too, don't know why, but I am intrigued to find out now.
If you look up Bovis home and Sonora way it says they were built by Bovis and if Feldspar close isn't too far then it may be the same contractor.
I would just try and phone Bovis and ask them!!!!! The tel number i found is: 01786 477777

Thanks lilyann. I'll give them a call.

I know Bovis are one of the builders for that development, but so are Redrow and one other whose name escapes me.

    I've been Money Tipped!
It's more than likely, as developments usually have the same type of road names, in this case minerals. Amethyst Drive may be a later phase of the development, hence its newer. Have emailed OH to see if he knows (he's a planner, but not in Kent).

He's not sure, but thinks it might be a Bryant or George Wimpey. HTH

Is there any way of easily finding out which new homes builder built a certain house, or a set of houses in a certain road/area?

The house is 5 years old.

    Thanks

OK - the suspense is killing me :D

Why do you need to know?:D
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)
