Which builder built this house?!

Is there any way of easily finding out which new homes builder built a certain house, or a set of houses in a certain road/area?

The house is 5 years old.

Thanks

Local estate agents would know, as would some of the owners.

Why don't you be a bit cheeky and knock on someone door and ask them, obviously only if you feel safe doing that ???

That is pretty cheeky and, bearing in mind it's quite a commuter area, I'd probably get slapped for asking!

As it would still be covered by NHBC warranty (probably) - would they be able to tell you? Not sure, just a thought.

    Just a thought.
I have lived a new build for the last 12 years and when we moved in from new we had people asking where they could get new paving slabs from and where did we get our pots from and even some people asking how much we paid as they were thinking of buying some of the ones still being built!!
However I do live in a nice ,friendly, 'safe' part of Surrey.

As silvercar said ask local estate agents??
  • The deeds/land registry title might show that the property was conveyed from (A) - the builder - to (B) the buyer.

If there are any covenants, then the builder as the original owner would almost certainly be named.

  • If you let me know the road and area and the main road the development leads off, I will try and find out for you

Thanks for all the posts guys.

The road is 'Feldspar Close' and it's on the Sonara Fields development in Sittingbourne, Kent.
  • Do the EA's whose websites it's on, not know who built them? Have you driven around them, as on our new build we have the name of builder and year built, on one of the houses in our close.
  • In fact they look they Barratt homes to me as we have some being built down the road here.Let us know if you find out
