I wouldn't even consider having one. I always have a pack of moist toilet tissues in the bathroom and use these if I want to 'freshen up'.
I use baby wipes too, so much cleaner than loo paper;)
In Turkey the toilets are toilets & bidets in one. The loos have a little jet pipe sticking out inside the rim to the front. If you turn a wheel (near the back) the flow increases & it "washes" you. I've never used it, but DH has, he calls it "doing it Turkish style":rotfl:0 -

Yes, one of them. I didn't know what they were called. Apart from in top-end hotels they are everywhere in Thailand as the local plumbing usually cannot cope with paper being flushed down the toilet. They are very effective - and can be very soothing if you've had a hot Thai curry the previous night0 -
No, No, No, I didn't realise people in 2010 still used them...WHY?? isn't that what loo roll is for? why would anyone use a bidet, then have to use a towel or whatever to dry? yuck!!![/QUOTE]
So you never take a bath?, never wash your hands? Just wipe them on a sheet of paper. Get real
Plus what do you do when you get out of the shower? drip dry

Well after 58 replies it is pretty well even-stevens, so we still cannot make a decision. Oh well, thanks to everyone for your thoughts, we'll see what happens.0

Look it's simple, If you have space fit one, if you have any posterior end issues fit one, if you want to impress the neighbours fit one.
One final question and I'm sorry this is getting right down to it,
If you have just had a shower and then feel the need to defecate, will you feel better with the bottom bits "rewashed":D:D
