As long as you fit a non-return valve otherwise there is the possibility of back syphonage if you drop it in the pan. And it is a requirement under WRAS that you obtain your water suppliers consent to fit one by giving them advance notice - mind you that applies to a bidet with an ascending spray or a flexi hose as well.Oh i love to have one fitted as well/ You can always get a hand held bidet shower http://www.nature4energy.co.uk/Bidetshowers.html
Fit a blending valve then.Trouble is it connects to cold pipe which will be cold to use in the Uk.
and they have a different approach via-a-vis Water Regulations in India as well!.....ever where in India and most times the water is too hot coming out of it there!

Please, someone with a bidet, explain what they use them for?
I always turn off the water at the wall whenever I visit anyone with a bidet to see if they even notice. Only once has anyone ever said "Why's the bidet stopped working?"0 -
Get one!

Well, if Rotor is serious (!!) thats 5 for and 5 against so far, which doesn't help much! Def. don't want any messy hose attachments, so come on folks we need to make a decision here....0

Don't know if you're still interested but anyway...
Yes I think they're great and OH is now an enthusiastic convert.
You don't need a non-return valve if you have an above the rim tap, rather than a spray. We chose this because even with a good thermostatic valve we still get the odd surprise temperature under the shower, and certainly wouldn't fancy that on a bidet! (We have an all mains pressure water system, so could be different for others.)0 -
Old fashioned and I can't really see how you'd use it without getting your clothes all wet or your hands/flannel/sponge all dirty."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Wouldn't dream of having one unless I married into a French family.0

My parents have put them into all their houses. I find a little strange and would rather wash my bits in the shower?!0
