You really ARE the LAST person who should even dream of a cashback deal. You really have zero idea of how ANY of it works. Amazing!

I am going to ask a question and I hope you will be kind when you answer! I hope I am not like the person above.

I am doing a Letter before action for my 2nd claim as I do not agree with them I was out of time. I am happy that I DID meet their terms and conditions. Do I just claim for the 2nd claim or all subsequent claims as they say that I am now not eligible to make ANY future claims.

    Thanks
  • Very brave. Lol! I reserve my most acerbic comments for those who plunge blindly into deals without even the basic research and then run around like headless chickens screaming for help and accusing everyone of various things except themsleves.

In your case you do seem to know what you're doing (or I at least have indication that you don't). They have broken your contract (assuming you complied with the legal t&c and can prove it). They are denying all claims - not just this one. No problem - if they do not reverse their decision and pay your current claim within the timescale in your letter take them to the cleaners and claim the lot, plus court costs, statutory interest etc.

I would like your bank account details.

I will then open a DirectDebit, against your wishes, without your permission, and take money from you.

I will then arange a contract with you, then change the contract, without informing you, but send confirmation at the bottom of a text message, which is actually about another subject.

You will not object to this, as you are an employee/fan of the CarphoneWarehouse, and regard this as perfectly normal.

Please send your bank account details soon, as I am so looking forward to receiving your money.

I certainly DO work for them - THAT'S why they appreciate my input SO much!!!! Especially ALL the hundreds of warnings and all the advice and guidance I've been giving their numerous disgruntled customers for well over a YEAR as kmany on here will certainly testify (which you would know had you read any of the numerous threads on them. By the way 0- they have been E2save since early last summer.

Right, a quick Q. I've order a cashback deal from OSPS. Am reasonably adept at cashback deals having had them for 5years but omitted to notice something when ordering online. I know that OSPS may be turning a bit poo as they have now been clumped together with E2Save (the only place I've ever had a cashback claim denied as they sent my initial bill to the wrong address.) & now have an IIC.

I need to port from Orange to 02 - I know that 02 via CPW is now different from regular 02. I didn't give a number to be ported at the time of placing an order and after a subsequent idiot check I learnt from the T&C that I can't port to 02 after an order has been placed with OSPS. I take it my only option is to cancel - when I can get through on the phone.

I'm not keen to let OSPS sort out the porting, I know there have been a few issues with cashback regarding when contract is viewed as commencing & porting. I'm also not convinced they'll manage it competently. Is there any way around this.

Q then, can you actually port to CPW 02 after taking out a contract & has anyone has problems that stem from this rather odd 02 distinction?

BTW I've canceled my order via phone & received email confirmation whilst writing this. Orange tell me it's going to take 2-3 days to get my PAC as they can't give it over the phone grrr.
I do hope you're telling the truth?

AFAIK the e2save/osps contracts are with O2 direct at the moment (since the second half of last year). You can port to O2, but I'm fairly sure it says somewhere that the number on your sales invoice must match the number that you are claiming cashback for (which is only the case if you give the PAC at point of sale).

Yes, Orange are ridiculously lame and insist on sending it to you in the post - giving you more time to change your mind.

If this is the case - and i can't see anything on the site to indicate that a later porting would invalidate cashbacks with networks, then it's certainly a change to the T&C. I've always previously ported about a month into the new contract, usually to Orange. I've had to supply a cover letter which Orange have been a bit pants about supplying, but not had a claim denied on this basis.

But as the advise on here keeps being re-iterated new OSPS isn't like old OSPS, so I'm all for belt, braces and girdle before buying. Thanks

  • This post is full of information about cashback deals and I don't know much about the subject so thank you for all the informative posts which will give me a lot to read thru to understand more about this topic.
