  • So I'm not the only "weird" one.
I love "can't be ar&**" tea in bed and make sure I have one at least twice a week - Friday is officially "Bigger Lunch, Silly Tea" day which means treating myself to a pre-packed sarnie pack (current fave = Boots Bugsy) then in bed with a silly tea and vod and Flash Forward on Sky + (it will be back to 24 in January!).
And silly teas can be anything from cereal to Ice cream to Aunt Bessie's Choc Roly Poly.
With my special cutlery and bowl of course - OK yes I am weird.

    Alpine Eggs

Butter an oven proof dish, put in a good helping of grated cheese. Break 2 or 3 Eggs individually into a cup and slide gently on top the cheese. Put another big helping of grated cheese on top of eggs covering them. Season and sprinkle with some Chives and also dot with butter. Bake in oven for 15 mins. Lovely with some crusty bread.
  • Scrambled eggs on toast, tinned mackerel fillets and thinly sliced tomatoes on toast, soup and buttered brown bread, cheese and crackers, Italian bread sticks and hummus.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)
  • I've got a CBB tea tonight we having, tinned fish (I'm having kippers, oh is having mackerel and kids are having fishfingers) these are going to be served with mash potato and mushy peas.

Other CBB dishes are something on toast, tomato pasta dish (this we had for lunch) or HM soup.

We aren't very well at the moment (adults - kids are ok) so I know I'll have a CBB day tomorrow but I'm craving a lovely meal so I'm defrosting a chicken so I have to make a dinner tomorrow, come tomorrow I'll regret it but it will be worth it come tea time.

I have made a apple & blackberry crumble for dessert tonight but I whip it up while oh peeled the potatoes so having a dessert tonight.
  • Pizza toast,

put bread under grill till starts to go brown, take out and spread tom puree on, grated chees on top (also ham or mushrooms etc if in fridge) sprinkle some italian herbs on and toast till cheese bubbles.

Spinach and tom pasta, boil pasta, heat tin toms and frozen spinach, add italian seasonin and mix with drained pasta.

If really CBB then cheese on toast or pesto pasta!
  • 3 egg omelette with previously grated chedder out of freezer

Spaghetti with olive oil & lemon juice

Pasta with pesto for me. If I've got slightly more energy I'll add some chopped fresh tomatoes. If I've got more energy than that I'll fry some chopped bacon with mushrooms and/or onions and throw that in.

If all else fails I'll take a shop bought pizza out of the freeze - hopelessly un-OS, I know, and HM ones taste ten times better, but sometimes only a gloopy, greasy, artificially-flavoured pizza hits the spot! :o
Back after a very long break!
