I'm a great believer personally in having times where I just leave a problem "on the backburner" for a few hours whilst I wait for my subconscious mind/guidance/whatever it is to "click in" and start coming up with any useful ideas/different "take" on how to view the issue.

I never tackle a problem after 9pm at night, things just seem so much worse in the later hours of the day

Rummer - so sorry. My OH has been through this redundancy nightmare twice and I know how hard it is to keep your spirits up when you're worried to death and everybody cheerfully tells you that "something will come along soon." Do you live near a university or college area? I wonder whether you would be able to give lodgings to a student to bring in a little income? I know it might not be what you want to do but if it's a possibility and keeps the wolf from the door until your OH is able to find work, it might be less stressful for you worrying about the bills all the time.

Is there any work you could do, like a part-time cleaning job or office admin job which would bring in a little money?

I don't know I'm afraid, didn't think to look. Maybe someone else will pop in at some point and let us all know?!

My daughter just moved to the middle of nowhere & got a wee bit bored stuck in the house all day. She posted an ad in the local post office, offering cleaning work and got 2 ladies phoning her up within a fortnight. If you have a car then it might be worth trying, because farmers wives etc are often desperate for help in the house. When my youngest son went to school I got myself a Honda and travelled round a few farms, cleaning houses. I got more offers of work than I could take - might not be so good now but my daughter found it easy. And they ask what you charge, is usually £7.50 an hour here.

OMG!!! need to tell someone. Completely freaked out!!!

    How bizarre.

I was walking through town after Bens match today (his team won 11-3 incase your wondering ) and was scratching my shoulder. where I happen to have a tattoo of a bears footprint but you cant see it unless shown type of placement. I have always loved native american culture/symbols/beliefs for no apparent reason. Well I watched a programme the other day and they mentioned animal guides/power animals and I was fascinated but didn't dwell on it.

Anyway walking through the precinct and this woman came up to me, commented on my tattoo and said she was sure my sister loved it and would book hers soon :eek::eek:

(should explain - when my parents were divorcing nd my mum left she gave me and my sister a necklace each --- I was having a particularly bad time with self harming etc so she gave me a pheonix and said I would get a fresh start and she gave abby my sister one with bear claw on and said she would have to be strong (she was 12 at the time my mum left) well when i turned 18 I had the bear claw tattoo as my symbol for my sister and she is due to have a pheonix tattoo in two weeks time.:eek:

So anyway I stood talking to her for a little while and she was asking about babe etc, went to walk away and as I was going she said 'its a deer' so I asked what she meant and she said in case you wondered 'its a deer but the butterflies are there too'.

(another explanation ---- when I miscarried my twins last year I was devastated. I came back to my mother in laws house, where Owen met me and we sat in silence for about an hour, I came home went to start cleaning and he told me to sit and rest but I refused. So after shouting at him , I grabbed my iPod, went into bedroom, sat down on the floor to fold clothes whilst I listened to music and promptly burst into tears and started crying my eyes out. Composed myself then, opened my window and just stood looking for a bit and watched these two cabbage butterflies fluttering around my garden and they flew right over and landed on the windowsill in front of me and just stayed there basking for a few minutes then just fluttered away and I just felt this real sense of ease and acceptance come over me) .

so she basically just left me stood there in total shock and I'm not sure how or what I'm feeling now. I know there's a few spiritual people about on here so figured I'd feel ok saying it here. most bizarre and I'm completely......well............i dunno what to make of it.
