WHAT!!!!!!! That's outrageous. I can't get my head round it at all. All school fairs etc used to have home bake stall, so why would they not want homebaked cake? You're better off without them even though it does hurt at the moment.
One thought, is it something to do with elf n safety? Or is it just fur coat and no knickers as someone else has said?Second purse £101/100

Hi thank you ladies..i will gladly make you a cake..they are lovely and don't last long in the house..i have never had a problem with the playgroup before, the lady that runs it was fine about my cakes...i know i'm better off without them but to have it done like that is cold and mean...oh well just me and the hubby from now on then..fluff them..sad thing is if i was really mean i could potentially ruin things for them..i know all the dirty secrets...but then that is mean and i am better than them and a better baker...Be who you are, not what the world expects you to be..:smileyhea

Sorry i never swear but they have made me so angry...it might sound petty but i have never felt this way before..i'm caught between anger and hurt..my husband is fuming and my son wanted to go say something..but i won't let him...well its their loss..fluff them all...i'll stick to you lot ...you have all made me feel welcome and not judgemental at all...
thank you for letting me get it out..
Gosh, even if they are unable to accept homemade cake for health and safety reasons, they sure as hell could have gone about letting you know in a different and far less offensive way. If it is pure snobbishness on their part, then they weren't good enough to call themselves your friends in the first place and good riddance to them.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

What is subscribing to a thread? What's the difference between that and just reading and posting which is what I do? I'm not very good with tecnical things and can just about navigate myself round the threads and post but not all the extra stuff like signatures and changing fonts etc.Second purse £101/100

:DBut flower, I would be soooo tempted:D
Have had a bit of experience of this kind of treatment myself. It is so upsetting and really does hurt, even now 11yrs later, I see the B.... who made my life hell, and although I tell myself that she is a very unhappy woman (which she is) insecure with lots of personal issues, who wears a cross bigger than her ego, and is as deep as a 1in puddle, she still has a face I could happily smack all night. (Yep, even now she still makes my blood boil - it wasn't just her, there were others, but she was the worst. What does make me smile though, was that my darling daughter bit her reallllllly hard:o-Good Girl:oThe problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:

Taplady: I asked yesterday if I could change the brown sugar for just plain granulated and if there was a difference between baking powder and sodium bicarb in your scrummy sounding microwave flapjacks. I was going to make them but ended up doing twinks instead as didn't get any replys and had guests round in an hour and half from when I posted. Still would like to know the answer though as usually use granulated in baking instead of castor as cheaper. Also, got loads of sodium bicarb in but no baking powder.Second purse £101/100

The "coil of choice" for the OS lady about town seems to be the Mirena coil, I could probably insert it for you, such indepth conversations have my contemporaries over on that thread had! :rotfl: Honestly though, there are quite a few of the girls over there using it and singing its praises if you have any questions, nothing shocks us over there!
:rotfl::D
thankyou Jackie - that made me smile!:D but I think I'll leave it to the doctor to insert if you dont mind next time!:eek:;):D
I'm a mirena girl too and MaryB thanks for the info re the menopause:T I'm hoping mine goes as smoothly!;)Do what you love :happyhear0
