Kitcaboodle - I wouldn't let OH say anything to the bank. That's just warning them that he's having or anticipating potential problems and they will make a note of it & jump on you all the sooner.0

Well done Annie
Do you have a blog? Sounds like you could keep me (and others) entertained with your goings on

Need to let of steam now. My poor kitten has just been knocked down. Was no bodies fault he just hapened to chase a leaf into the road at the wrong time. Fortnately was there when it happened, managed to catch him and get him to the Vets.
They have just rung, have put him on drip and given him pain killers. Think he's fractured his jaw, but don't think he's got any other broken bits. They will keep him in over night and op tomorrow when the shock has worn off. I've to ring again later to see how he is. Poor mite. His mum and brother saw it happen and they were obviously worried. Also in the misted of getting car keys the b##### dog escaped, she's back now as well. Sorry for off loading but its still sinking in.:(The problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:

Hello!!
Annie56, you are blinking brilliant!!! Well done for doing what I imagine most of us have felt like doing many times before, you enjoy that chocoalte, you've earnt it today!
It's freezing here, but I'm determined not to put the heating on till October (although I did give it a quick blast on Monday after having spent an hour and a half standing on a football pitch watching ds's footy practice), so I've got a big squashy jumper on, thick socks and am planning to cook lots of comforting goodies to keep me warm. Although the 4 extra stone I'm carrying should provide some insulation!
We had a lovely curry last night, mixed bean and sweet potato, but the house is still a bit smelly from it cooking, and the wind blowing through makes it colder. I suppose it's the price to pay!
I'm going out to meet SIL for a coffeee in a bit, thankfully the cafe's only over the road so I don't have to go too far. I'm planning a trip out tomorrow to get some pickling onions so I can start getting ready for Christmas!
HAve a nice afternoon all :0)Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Or is the house a bit smelly from your wind blowing thru it after your curry

We are still at our caravan and the wind is really blowing strong outside.
I have just made baked potatoes with cream fraiche, salt and pepper, a bit of butter and some chopped up spring onion.
The gas cooker has warmed the place up a bit and the potatoes are doing the same for us.:D
I think baked potatoes with lots of different toppings will become a weekly favourite this winter, cheap and cheerful as well as being very filling.
:jFelines are my favourite

yay Annie56 i would've been exactly the same!!!!! A&L should've contacted you to tell you of the situation, not just cut you off like that!!!!
Hellsbells, hope your kitty gets better soon, and you can afford the vet bills!
Sammykaye: the mirena coil should not be felt if it's been put in properly. however, i would probably go to the local clinic rather than gps as some ladies have a shockable cervix and therefore go into slight shock after the procedure....they know how to prevent/deal with this!!! also gps often don't put them in properly, my friend (who at the time was pa to one of the gynae consultants) had been told she needed a sterilisation as the mirena that she had just had replaced was no longer any good for her!!! in her lunchbreak her consulatant whipped it out and a new one in and hey presto!!! no probs an no sterilisation.....just goes to show if the person fitting it is experienced then should be no probs!!! also apparently you can have the coil even if you haven't had kids/may still want kids....the risks are low nowadays!!!
hope you're all ok,

Ooh I do love baked potatoes with all sorts of fillings. We eat a lot of them in winter.
It really did feel a lot chillier this morning, I even wore a hat on my way to work! I'm pretty prepared for the winter though and hoping to use the heating as little as possible, we have no shame at our house and will sit on the sofa in a sleeping bag so we don't have to put the heating on! It's only a bother if we want to get up and make a cup of tea. We've got a little holiday booked for the end of this month and the heating is staying OFF at least until we get back from that, preferably late October or even November if we manage it.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
