I have several on the go (and on the screen) at the minute.
So far I have
one for housework
one for who I need to buy for xmas
one for shops I need to go to to complete my xmas shopping
a craft list
a to do list for tomorrow
shopping list
I think I need a list for my lists!
Also I like sitting and figuring out our budget even if it does take some fiddling around to get it sorted. have realised I need to do some 'clever' shopping to last us through the week or so though as I get £180 on Thursday and £111 of it is bill allocated and ben needs shin pads before then but his togs may have to wait until the end of the month and he will need to make do with his trainers for now.
I got really excited about your lists! I have sooooo many lists!
I home make all my cards and gifts for Christmas and Birthdays and I have a VERY comprehensive table!
And one to monitor weight loss
And one for the Shopping
And one for my cross stitching requirements
And one for use of my season ticket for family days out in Hampshire
And one for my menu, cross referenced with the content of my freezer!
And one for my Isa
Husbands overtime calcs...
Holidays
Finances
Every penny is budgeted!!
I used to have one for housework... but now I just write one each morning instead!!!

It had been bothering me for a while though, as there are over 300 children in the school, each receiving a bottle of water everyday, for all of the 170 or so school days in the year, that's an awful lot of plastic bottles going to landfill, or even recycled. I had been planning on asking the school to consider getting the children to supply their own reuseable bottles, but this happened because of the financial cuts. They have to take in a reuseable bottle with a sports top every day, and there are facilities to refill them in school. As we do this in our everyday lives, it wasn't a difficult thing for my boys to adjust to, and I am much happier about the environmental impact of this. Perhaps its worth suggesting something similar to your PTA or directly to the head? Most schools are going for Eco awards now, and this could be a big part of that for them, maybe they could even have a fundraiser to buy the bottles for the children the first time?
We have paid 50p at the start of the school year for a reusuable water bottle to keep in class, the teachers write their names on them. When I asked the mum who was showing me the ropes today why we were selling water she said some parents dont like their children drinking 'tap' water as it doesnt taste right! DS1 asked me earlier why the juniors had drinks on the trolley with toast. I explained and he decided that it was silly to buy juice when we buy milk and than have a drink in your lunch bag. He wont be asking for 50p a day in a couple of years time!Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
We have people at work that won't drink tap water. They go out each day and buy a bottle but work on purpose set up some proper drinking water taps just for us. Baffles me - we pride ourselves as a country on having a good water system and then we waste money on shipping it in from else where. This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -

My last place of work... it tasted as though the chemicals we used on the shop floor were pumped through it!
However, not one to waste money... I added squash and prayed the chemical taste wasn't really chemicals!!!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. The work water is ok -it was all sorted out/plumbed up properly and they even bothered to send round a questionnaire before they did it. They've also promised us to get a bottled water dispenser if we don't like it - so they carry the cost of the water, but still everyone goes out and buys the stuff.
I just don't get it. If its been stored in plastic for a couple of months it must have some nasties in it.This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

:wave:Hi again. Had some excellent bargains this week so far. 2 large joints of beef for £8!!!! (From butchers at Liskeard Trago - if your from cornwall you'll know where I mean) One roasted tonight, half left, will do giant york puds with roast beef and gravy filling tomorrow. Other cut in two and in freezer.
Bought some lemons and made lemon curd for the first time, it is absolutely wooooooonderful. (easier than I thought as well). Would like to make some for xmas gifts but is has a short life 2 - 3 weeks if your lucky:). So was wondering if i froze it then defrosted it just before xmas could I bottle it then? Any thought, only asking because in Mr M's today I bought 4 organic lemons reduced to 59p.
Also go 4 large punnets of tomatoes for 59p each, so am searching round for some good tomatoe type preserve recipes.
Have had to give dd2 a lecture about trying new food. She is a very fussy eater and is extremely reluctant to try anything new. As I had made banana muffins yesterday I asked her to try it, ditto lemon curd, 'don't like it' (never even tried it) came the reply. Pointed out to her that she is seriously going to have to change her eating habits due to the food shortage/price rise we will be seeing in the near future, this seriously shocked her and she begruginly tasted the lemon curd. Such a small victory. She said she thought it was nice but to lemonie (how would she no she's never tasted it before!!!!!)
Anyway, friend of mine is going to get me some fresh free range eggs from a friend of her's £1 per doz. They are absolutely delish and is also going to bring me a bag of cooking apples from a cottage that she looks after apparently the tree is absolutely full of them, so also going to look up various apple sauce type recipies (I can feel a delux food hamper type gift coming up for friends).
Financially:mad:The A&L have "reviewed" a couple of my DD's (called for the day before my money went in) that means a minimum fo £50 charges off them:eek::mad::mad::mad: and my financial plans totally ****. So am deciding do I just cancel all DD's and then pay as I go, IYNWIM. Its driving me mad, the prob is I have no one else who can take over the finances for me and sometimes I'm to ill to even pay by phone or on line. Not going to do anything at mo. Will just contemplate.:)
For all those who are wondering why were in this mess click on this link http://www.bbc5.tv/eyeplayer/video/money-debt-ii watch, and shall we all discuss later:) Enjoy

How do you climb Mount Everest? One step at a time0 -
At my daughters school they are all given water bottles and fill up from a water dispenser when they need to.
The school also runs a breakfast club which is free to all children, they can choose three things from milk, fruit juice, toast, fruit and a selection of cereal.
plus up to year 2 they have free milk at break time.0 -

Well not amused. Absolutely bloody drenched - put jeans in the drier for 40 minutes and they've come out wtter than they went in and I only have literally 3 sets of trousers, one pair are on the line (so bloody dripping as I didnt catch them before the downpour began,) my jeans which are in drier and my leggings are covered in paint. All my otehr sloggy bottom trousers I gave away as I out grew them all when I was pregnant and didnt think Id fit in them any time soon. So am sat in PJ bottoms at the minute (in case you were wondering!) and hopign Jeans dry before the school run!
Check up yesterday was pointless - need to rebook to see my original doctor as one i saw didn't examine me at all in any way shape or form, and said he was putting me back on the pill because i didn't do well with the injection and knew nothing about the implant. I was on the pill both times I got pregnant! He didn't take my blood pressure, didn't check my stomach/ weight /height etc and when I mentioned being uncomfortable 'downstairs' as if something hasn't aligned properly he said 'well baby is still young your still healing'.......holly is 9 weeks old tomorrow so it should be near enough healed not feeling like its grinding when i move in a certain way!
Have had health visitor and her trainee out today and she said flat is looking good - it had a mould smell last time and she was happy with it today. Did mention to her trainee that our first few visits werent happy rosey ones and my boyfriend had been gunnign for her since. Thankfully he wasnt home and its the last at hoem visit we need.I get so stressed when she comes because she is a horrid piece of work. Baby has a sore bit under her chin though from dribbling so needs to be seen by GP tomorrow when she's in to be checked and have her jabs - anyone fancy going in for me?? and then I have my tooth out on Thursday - dreading it!
Gutted as well as I'm paid Thursday and really wanted to get a Tesco shop done as our cupboards are that bare even the dog is looking worried. But because my dentist is 10.30am I will probably be out of action for the rest of the day. I do have my mummy up to look after Holly though in case I have a rough time with it. Fingers crossed that my pain thresh hold is higher than I think though as I hate taking pills so even thinking pain killers is worrying me a bit. Although I took paracetamol no problem when I was in hospital having holly so fingers crossed Ill be ok. Plus had iron tablets too.
D&DD - oh what breed is your new baby to be?
Would you consider a coil? I had the old metal variety for 5 years with no problems. Recently had some problems with my monthly's and got a Mirena which means monthly's have stopped, which is great. Ive heard there can be problems with this coil but Ive been fine with it. Didnt hurt having it put in either.
Ive had 1 child but was back to normal round 6 weeks after (apart from the torn muscles in my back from pushing her out). Could you see a different Dr?I have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round0 -
Not wishing to upset anyone with children at school and I'm really glad schools are making the effort to help with healthy diets etc and the like. I fully support this. (I care for children and I know how difficult it is to try and keep them healthy).
But .... we had water fountains at school and free water at lunch time. When on earth did somebody decide that children need to carry a bottle of water around. I didn't dehydrate. My teeth are fine. My skin is doing really well and nobody thinks I am the age I am. Why the sudden need for loads of extra water? This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0
