Baffles me - we pride ourselves as a country on having a good water system and then we waste money on shipping it in from else where.
In my work we have a water cooler that filters tap water and cools it. Only costs are servicing and cleaning. Water is lovely and there are no big plastic bottles to get rid of. Looks like the big coolers you get but without the bottle on top. It needs to be near a mains tap.I have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round0 -

But .... we had water fountains at school and free water at lunch time. When on earth did somebody decide that children need to carry a bottle of water around. I didn't dehydrate. My teeth are fine. My skin is doing really well and nobody thinks I am the age I am. Why the sudden need for loads of extra water?
When they started to have water bottles about two years ago, we had a letter home from the school saying that apparently drinking water in class makes them more attentive,Pupils concentrate better because they are not distracted by the effects of dehydration such as thirst, tiredness and irritability0 -

I have to bow out now on this because I do love you peeps on here and I don't want to upset anyone.
But flippin 'eck, where is this money coming from? We have clean water from the taps in this country. Pupils could take a plastic beaker into school everyday and fill it up at the tap. Result - MSE/OS perfect! Even recycleable paper cups would do.This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -

That's what we do in our school. Every child comes in with their own water bottle which they can drink from and refill. Result - no disposable plastic cups, no plastic bottles. I think it is just refridgerated tap water. It certainly doesn't have one of those giant upturned plastic bottles on the top of it. I think it's great. My dd is 6 so she still gets free fruit, veg and milk too :T:TSkint but happy with my lovely family

Here's another thought -
How much concentration will be lost when you factor in all the extra trips to the loo -
And the additional costs of metering the extra flushes.
I'm getting my coat.........0 -
People in charge have no common sense at all any more. You read about all the health & safety rules and it just makes you wonder where the hell these people get their ideas from.0

re the mini pill: i've just been put on this from the traditional (combined) pill. the gp reckons it is just as effective as the combined but women often don't get a bleed at all. i would advise the coil though as this can be very effective especially the mirena coil which has the hormones in it also.
