I,ve just had a breakthrough after trying to ring the tax credit people back since 19th july (when my surname changed) to tell them that the help with NHS cost people wont give me a new ceritficate till they get informed by them. Had no joy in ringing and even sent a letter. Looked on the forum tonight under CTC and see that I'm not the only one who cant get through, rang a number someone suggested and call answered within 2 rings - they apologised and said they had passed on the info so now its up to help with NHS. The number is 0845 300 3600 if anyone nedds it. Why didnt I check here sooner?Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0

Dh has been told yesterday that he is now back on working 5 days a week.
We are lucky in that we have only had 10 weeks of him only working 4 day weeks and in that time with cutting right back, the extra tax credits and car boot sales have managed to make up the deficit each week.
We were beginning to wonder where the extra was going to come from now carboot season has finished.
I have also been put on contract now as a dinner lady rather than relief which means I get a set amount every month regardless of hours worked (annual figure divided by 12); rather than being paid for what I worked each month, and in theory not getting anything in Sept as no work in August,(however I always put extra over and above what we needed each month to one side so there was a buffer in the bank which in effect gave me a set amount each month)
Obviously big hugs still to those who need them/waitning for news etcMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).

We have quite a number, but I notice that all of them are for companies and their employees, rather than for individuals. Is there a cash and carry for individuals out there at all? I mean they ask for all sorts of id and business letterhead and stuff. None of which I have of course.
Is there any other way of getting cash and carry cards, other than "bending" the rules?
You could ring and ask if they would a private card.
DH used to have one thru his work and we didn't realise it had lapsed I went down to use it and they let me have a private one there and then, only needed to see my driving licence and said I had to use it at least every 6 months. My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).

Did anyone catch Watchdog last night, the bit about supermarkets? I didnt realise this but if you order online and the prices change in store before delivery, so does your online bill. That includes special offers!Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
