you wont believe this..
My Mum lives just on the next road to me and always had a chicken for Sunday lunch. Shes very naughty and only eats the breat so always brings the carcus and others bits round to me for the dogs lunch. She tied it to the door handle as usual today as I popped out and someones took my chicken. Poor pooch hasnt any chicken. Why on earth would someone steal a chicken?Mad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!

I have been running out of school and early years language clubs for the past 2 years and have decided that I want a career in the classroom. I think I eventually want to train as a teacher but at the moment I can't commit to the training until my youngest is at school. My degree isn't good enough to do a primary PGCE so I will have to do another degree. I thought in the meantime I could try to get work as a TA but not having much luck! I haven't got much time left in the week to volunteer and I can't put myself through the NVQ as I can't afford it. So I'm a bit stuck at the moment!!
Hello.
I am a teacher and I have mentored student teachers. You do not have to do a PGCE to get into teaching - there are many routes. The teachers that I have mentored have all gone through the another route the GTP and they have done a year basically all school based and around their children. They have had a few days at university every month but the rest if the training is you in the classroom teaching. It would be worth looking at as there is some funding for this and most who go for this are mature students with children.
On a completly unrelated note I've got my third star! :j'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

Gailey, try some ginger tea or a few ginger snap biscuits...;)
Sammy, I don't think that Val will ever hurt Ben...she may be his own "special" companion. She may have been lonely before she died and she probably loves children.
My first husband had an imaginary friend here in Kent, when he was about 5. He used to be very happy with the "friend" and used to want his mum to set a place at the table.
Hugs to all who need them. ((( )))Felines are my favourite

DS1 is back at school tomorrow, starting year 1 and im off to start christmas shopping with my high street vouchers which have sat patiently waiting to be spent! Ds2 doesnt start till october but hoping to be finished not long after. Got a large family so we are cutting down. HMV apparently have offers on so its there tomorrow then wilkinsons on tuesday. OH is off as he worked all weekend so he gets to entertain DS2.
Got 8 thomas paperbacks at the car boot today for £2 decided to give them to the boys as they havent had new bedtime books for ages. They are practically new and at £2.50 a go new to buy they are great.
Tea had mixed reviews, both ate a bit of pizza and DS2 was bribed to eat cucumber and tomato, although the tomatos were from the garden and a little too tangy for the boys! at least I can try with pizza again in the future. Were having 'meat' casserole on tuesday, its sausage but they wont eat it if you call it sausage casserole!Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
I have seen one of our dogs twice since he died - sort of out of the corner of my eye in the garden - but it was him. And I am a fairly devout Anglican. He was our first dog after we got married and he was always a bit spooky in life - could get through closed doors etc - but when I saw him, I sort of got the impression he was telling me to let him go - it was so hard when he was put to sleep and i think he needed to tell dh and me to let go.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
