Hope the weather gets better for those heading away..I'm seriously on the verge of digging out my thermal knickers :rotfl:
    blimming freezing down here!

Hippee would love the recipe for that one :D love the name!

I've shut the greenhouse last two nights as its got so cool it just seems to have suddenly turned to autumn overnight here
  • Havnt been on for a couple of days as busy in work then had to pick my daughter up from mum's. Fed up with the school hols now. Still Im off next week. Made the mistake of venturing on to another forum where they were "discussing" people on benefits. My god, the abuse and personal attacks on people were terrible. Im sticking with this board, your all so nice.

Was excited today cos I got 2 loads of washing dry. Love doing laundry and have strange fetish for washing products. Those huge boxes of powder make me very happy. Need to get out more me thinks.

I noticed it was dark at 8.30 too. It's horrible because we haven't had any summer at all here.

FIL gave us some home grown onions and carrots and a couple of parsnips today.

I need to make some time to get out in the garden tomorrow and pick some more blackberries. It shouldn't be that difficult to get out the back door but today apart from going to see the in-laws, I've not done very much at all. Just felt so lethargic.

I've noticed how sarcastic they are on other forums and how nasty they can be to one another. It's so nice on here.

Will have to go and get one of those boxes of soap powder from Morrisons tomorrow. Run out of bread as well. Trouble is already been shopping this week and apart from forgetting to get bread, I know that by going to save on soap powder I am going to find lots of 'bargains' which if I hadn't gone I would have managed without. I have learnt a lot on here but not how to resist a 'bargain'.

And my least favourite job is bringing washing in and sorting it!!
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
  • Im not going to buy the 60 wash Daz from Morrisons. So tempted but have Persil and Daz from other offers and loads of Comfort. Im addicted. Everyone thinks Im mad. I love pegging washing out too and watching it blow in the wind. Glad Im not alone lol.

Been on the preparing for winter thread too. Got my lecy blankets, swapped my gas/elec supplier, started stocking up food etc. Im not freezing again in this house. Ive even had 2 new rads installed free by British Gas as I bought a new boiler off them and got full home cover for free. £600 worth so very OS I thought, well sort of, wasnt expecting my boiler to blow off the wall 2 weeks after I moved in and then it snowed which meant swift installation of new one.

Our schools went back last wednesday - when do english schools go back?
  • well im deff coming down with a cold and so is the dog. Shes on the sofa shivering looking very sorry for herself indeed. Ive given her a blanket and may sleep on the sofa with her tonight. We can be 'snotty' together
According the the weather tommorows suppose to be better which im glad for as im going to run out of towels else. I really dont know how we get through so many.
I shouldnt admit in on here but I love my fabric softners. I have at least 3 on the go at a time. I also love the sound of the washing machine so love doing the washing.
We have friends coming tommorow night as im helping her plan a low budget but high expectations wedding. I fear shes going to be upset when she realises what things cost. So thats 11 for tea tommorow night and the house is littered with toys still.
Mad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!

Awww, that's the kind of thing I would do with my doggies. I hope you are both feeling better soon.
