The NI 'credits' for child benefit are for retirement pension, not for jobseekers unfortunately.

Spending far more time on here than I really ought to, when I should be hard at work.
I have tonnes of things I should be doing when I get home as well, but think I should be able to manage to put the vegetable soup on, feed the cats and then sit in a corner of the sofa and stitch my latest project. And then possibly bed by 8pm!ooh, living life on the edge, there!!
Life in the fast lane eh? lol That sounds a bit like me!
I've done precisely nowt so far todaywell, apart from getting sausages out for tea - having Sausage Cassoulet with New Potatoes, Sweetcorn and Chunky Bread.
Should hoover through house, but I don't feel like it.
Need to dust and polish everywhere, but I don't feel like it, Really should try and get a load of washing on the go to try and dry in this little window of dry weather, but I don't feel like it - do you see a theme emerging here? :rotfl:
Aaaah well - it's not often I give into my feelings. I've got OH home, and as much as it's nice to have him here, and as pathetic as that makes me, he interferes with my routine!I've got a banging headache too. We wont come to any harm I'm sure
and besides, too bad cos........I don't feel like it

Oh yeah. Definitely the fast lane. My most exciting moment this week? Buying a new clothes airer...and using it. :rotfl: I think I might need to get out a bit more!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Weird how weather can effect mood
I totally agree, I can never do anything when the weather is miserable so I usually give in and slob.
You sound like your house and children are well looked after, well done to you but you have to make some time for yourself as well. Any house proud person would have a fit in my house. It is usually tidy but rarely cleaned however we are going to give it a mega clean this weekendI hate cleaning.

Had to put a warmer quilt on my bed last night as it has suddenly got a lot colder.
He spends hours trying to find them and is convinced he can see them (there isn't actually any in there, every now and then I pop a few earthworms and garden snails in there just so he can spy on them)
I have found there are a lot of reptiles on preloved that are usually free to a good home, there was a monitor lizzard recently that came with its own viv too....however it was the size of a small croc and wasn't cared for properly resulting in a nasty temper.0 -
()s gailey. I agree with hippeechiq. Tough keeping on top of everything with small children.
And I'm another one having a complete non starter of a day and can't blame the weather either - glorious sunshine (first for ages) up here and should be gardening/ hanging out washing/ OH's paperwork/my teaching prep/sewing/ housework etc etc and can't seem to get going with anything - keep wandering back here instead and kids will be home shortly.

Hi everyone. Not been on here for a while. I'm unsure if my p-time job will last.
They have advertised a permanent position but it's f-time 8-5 mon-fri. It would mean breakfast and asc every day for the kids, which I don't wish to do (no disrespect to those that do do this) would severly limit my childcare options in the school hols and would leave me without school hol childcare after Sept next year for eldest as he would be too old to go to the places opening these hours and too young to be left to his own devices for those hours every day. I also did some number crunching and at best I'd be £5 a week better off. That's before I'd paid 2 extra days in petrol costs, so it's a no, no.
Have been told that the new role is in addition to mine, but I'm on a temp contract via a recuitment agency (so am expensive to the company) so we'll see.......
Looking on the positive. I now have 18 hours per week, 3x 9-3 days :j:j so no childcare costs in term-time and cheaper ones in hols than when I had to pay for an extended finish time. It has also foccussed my mind on the need to get on top of things financially..so we are not back to square one should I find myself without work.
We are going to Butlins tomorrow (I have never been) and am looking forward to it.
Have a great BH w/end.0 -
Didn't just want to read & run.
Hope your part time job holds up Payless & have a lovely time at Butlins:j
Not sure where every one else is? but it's been a really nice couple of days in the North West (sorry) & I've got loads of washing & bedding done.
Looking on the down side though, still lots of ironing.
I'm off sick at the moment for at least another month so a bit of time on my hands. I've even cleaned the kitchen cupboards!!:eek:Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0
