my first and last asda shop has been delivered, four items all frozen were missing and the driver double checked the van and told me to ring customer services.

I did this and was told I would get a refund. 20 mins later the store where the shopping was packed rang and asked me to tell them what was missing, then they said it will be with you by 4.30pm we will cancel the refund as you shouldnt have complained a sit looks bad for the packer and driver!

Im still waiting for the shopping....

Well, whose fault do they think it was then? Yours? What a damn cheek they have.:mad:
I have used them once, first and last time and they can keep their free deliveries that they keep offering me too.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

I have used Asda online only twice and both times was very disappointed, if I shop online now its Tescos all the way as the service is much better, online store is easier to use and if any mistakes are made then the customer service dept is quick to refund etc.

    Hi

I went to Mr M's this morning - they are selling their sliced bread (wholemeal and white) for 30p a loaf. Mind you, they don't have any marmite - I know there are some for whom that's no great loss! But apparently there is some dispute or something between m*rrisons & marmite so there is none on sale. What am I going to have on toast??? LOL

Has all dried milk gone up, or is it only Sainsburys ?? That's quite a jump.

Gailey - I first had sainsburys basics choccy at a chocolate tasting event, and no one in the group could identify the cheap brand! havent bought expensive chocolate sine, the white dark adn milk are all nice!

Im home alone tonight as hubby is at a stag weekend, shocking cost once again - I hate how much we are expected to pay on these things, and we're at the age where there is what feels like 100 weddings a year!!

So I am going to make HM pizza as a treat for me plus make and freeze some small ones for him for when I'm away with work in a few weeks. I figure if I can get him cooking frozen stuff I prepare earlier he might not get tempted into shops and then be tempted by boxes of beer! Small hope of that though:rotfl:.
Also making hummus for the first time so we can use in lunches. I usually make pate but am needing a change

Got a letter about my council tax being reassessed. I am so hoping we get ours lowed.

Hearing those with arthiritis, this is of interest to me as my mum has developed it rapidly over the last year. Is there any exercises or remedies can recommend to ease the aches? Or a thread I can be directed to? She doesn't want to go on medication - she's very small and the tablets she tried made her very ill. She's improved her diet immensely, though is struggling to reduce the white wine intake!:rotfl:
She's been having a concoction of honey, cider vinegar and water and pestered me to try it. As I like the ingredients I thought I'd give it a go, but she forgot to mention to me the hot water, so I forced down pure honey and vingar mix!!!! It was so awful I physically cried! I kept thinking if my mum can do this I can so I kept going:rotfl:felt an idiot when she told me!

Mardatha -our local Red Cross loans out wheelchairs for a minimal charge - I had one when I was recuperating from pneumonia.
Or try Freecycle - somebody might have one that used to be their Grannys going spare or something;) I've even seen them for sale at carboots.

I'm well chuffed have been damson and blackberry picking and have made jam. Made hegderow jam last year and whilst it was ok was pretty solid to say the least. Can't wait for this lot to cool down and see if we can actually spread it!

    Happy Bunny.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Lots of OS catching up to do, I see!

I rarely purchase clothing for myself and most of what i buy is from charity shops anyway, not that i often find much in my size (which i will refrain from revealing here, let's just say i have curves in all the right places and also in all the wrong ones).

Anyhow, yesterday after being taken out for a meal to celebrate Mum's birthday, myself and DD went to a couple of charity shops and i bought a nice top for only £2.99. It always gives me a buzz to find nice things that fit me and flatter me at less than a fiver.

Last week I had to give in to buying some new undergarments (i may be OS but i ain't that OS....not yet at least). I was gutted to pay £12.50p each for the two bras i so desperately needed. My daughter wouldn't let me leave the store without buying them though as I always tend to think the money can be better spent on something else.

If i wasn't so generoulsy proportioned i think i would try to do without, but at my age, with gravity doing what it will with my body, I think it's better to bite the bullet and buy the bras!

Apparently it has or will be going up in every store. I even trie a more expensive brand to see if was just sainsbugs taking the pee but nope the marvel dried milk was just as bad. I think because of last winter the supermarket are putting the price up on them to cash on the prospect of rubbish weather so to speak.

i was the same kath when i had to last buy bra's, making me feel sick thinking about it.

Well just scoffed a load of tortillas and dips with the boys. Won't be dinner for a while yet so that should fill them for now. I'll check out aldi regarding the dried milk in there and let you know the price of it. I overheard some of the staff in home bargains saying they might be stocking dried milk soon, so its bound to be cheaper in there.

Rang asda customer services at 6.30pm and explained that the missing food hadnt turned up, after reading my notes (?) she said:
"we have already issued the refund, therefore the goods cannot be delivered".

I explained that no one rang me and that I had waited in. The response was thankyou for your patience and would please fill in an on line survey regarding how well our customer service has been today! I am really looking forward to doing this!!!

I will be back to tesco next week - in the four years I've onlined shopped its been there 90% with a few sainsburys shops, NEVER asda again

In regards to the price of pasta the smart price pasta shapes are 31p for 500g, they may be cheaper than tescos.
    Mum, wife and dinnerlady!
