Morning All,Morning all
Hope George makes a speedy recovery - my XH was a pigeon fancier....(turned out he was quite partial to barmaids too
)
Good old JC making me laugh at this time in the morning, I really look forward to your posts:D
Well, the WigWamming was a complete washout, it was like a monsoon here yesterday
so we came home and went to the movies to see Shrek4 instead, which was very good, and very funny. Lots of audience laughter
The plan for today is to finish the jobs I never did yesterday, clean the tiles in the bathroon (I hate that job too Doelani) and get some stuff done outside before OH disappears again tomorrow. The net safety net needs putting on thr trampoline, and I have many many jobs for OH to do. Shelves to put up, curtain poles, skirting (I'll believe it when I see it) and fix the stair gate.
Hope you get today Jayward and have a good time, hugs to all others, PenPin Diva and anyone else in need.

Morning All
Slow start today and am enjoying sitting here in my dressing gown and PJs! DD finished filling in her visa forms last night for her trip to Oz, I had amateur dramatics from her yesterday because it wasn't done. Nothing to do with me I said only to be told that she was very upset from the funeral (maybe so but hadn't said anything or shown any signs) and I didn't care! Anyway, she went off to work (probably for her own safety) and left me feeling terrible. She did text to apologise and finished the application last night, it took all of 15 mins! I think when she is tired she looks for excuses and I happened to be there. I told her that being out every night with the new BF was possibly what was making her so tired! A good nights sleep seems to have cheered her up. Children!
Anyway, ironing to be done along with the usual washing, cleaning but nothing too strenuous for me!
Hope all's well with you, take care.0 -
Morning all..............................((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Raining and cold again this morning. It dry up yesterday afternoon for a while.
OH off to the Drs, he has been complaining about his guts, he had a problem with IBS some years ago, looks like it might be rearing its head again, last night he was doubled up with pain, told me he had it since Monday, I got a bit cross with him, why didn't he ring and make an appointment to see the Dr. Men!! I keep telling him one of these days he will be in real trouble and I will not take any notice........not that he seems to take any notice, he has always been the same, smothering mother left him a hypocondriac?? spelling. Personally I think he had wind, he has been eating a lot of onions recentlyas well as other 'windy' vegetables.
I have only just got up, felt like a lie in , no gardening becuase of the rain, so stayed in bed for an extra hour reading. After all I am retired.
We had a session yesterday trying to sort out our budget, its going to take me at least 2 years to pay off the debt moving twice in 10 months cost me. The news that VAT on fuel is going up did not sit well with me, our heatiing is oil, the tanks is almost full thanks to me ordering extra last week. It will affect our car journeys too.......living where we do our car is essential. I could walk to the village, but over half a mile of the walk is on the road, there is no pavement. I could do with a Martin makeover!!! Did you see him on the programme last night??? Interesting what he had to say, but I could not believe the chap had not changed his fuel supplier, he was still with the same one. I have just changed from Scottish Power, to NPower; hope I have done the right thing!! I just checked my SP bill on line, I have to put £10 to what would have been the monthly payment so have put a stop on next months payment going out of the bank, will pay the bill online later today. NPower took over on 12th, SP read the meter that day, so I took a note of the reading.
Well it seems to be brightening up, OH has gone for his appointment, I decided not to go with him, he is a big boy now, I just hope he tells the Dr everything, his memory is getting very selective.
Offsky for a coffee........did not weigh myself today, I had my brekkie in bed, so no point, will try and hang off till Saturday if I can. OOOHHHH just realised this time next week DD2 and her children will be one day away, better get some sewing done so I can pack the machine etc away. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Downstairs all tidied, hoovered and floors washed. wheelie bin for food just emptied and what I do not understadn is everything goes into it in bags but still yucky lol So just washed it and disenfected it.

Really p*ssed off, doctors where sent a form to fill in 8 weeks ago and still not done !!! Gp going on holiday in 2 weeks and she normally takes 4 weeks off so have to try and get emergency appointment tomorrow , have to ring first thing, and go see her face to face about the form. I really do not feel up to it but nothing else I can do
Knowing my luck I will go tomorrow and she will have done it today lol
DoeTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
...I am going to the place called my " sons bedroom " He has not stayed at home for 3 nights, although he says he has but a mother knows, must have some girl on the go. I asked him yesterday for washing, he has none. Now last time I washed clothes for him was monday so I know he has dirty clothes in his room so I need to go investigate, wish me luck lol...
Tie some string to your waist, and to the bedroom door handle in case you get swallowed up or can't find your way out!! :rotfl:0 -
morning all!
Glad the funeral went okay n9eav .
Well its miserable here and the wind is picking up oh joy.
Well OH has finished his assessments for now!! so happy and we paid for it all yesterday, so feeling very chuffed
. I fixed two dresses, the straps had came off, so i still have £88 in the clothing kitty for myself
, i know sounds daft but i'm quite happy about it.
OH took us all shopping, ended up in aldi and £51.34 , i was crying inside, but as i cant stand as my kneecap is still blooming hurting, OH said we need easy meals to cook.
So the freezer is full so we'll be eating frozen stuff for the next couple of weeks/months.
The Harcombe diet looks good, i was on atkins diet before and i hated it because i couldn't eat potatoes. Ya can't beat a jacket potato. So might have a go at this instead.
Great news on weight loss peeps!
Right going to go upstairs, lay my legs and start on some bags.
Have a good day all x0 -
Good morning,
I've been missing as I still have no kitchen, so no cooking to speak of. The house elf is going to turn into a noodle soon. Hopefully, the flooring will go down this weekend, and the first lot of units have been ordered for next week. The plan is to put them in, then the cooker and dishwasher, then see how much room is left (there should be some, the new kitchen in 24ft long apparently).
I finish work in 2 weeks, so I'm looking forward to that (all the more so because I've spent the last week full of cold). I've got washing on just now, which is destined for the dryer due to monsoon conditions outside. Then I get to iron it. I don't mind usually, but I'm still feeling a bit ropey with this cold thing. Maybe I'll have a lie down first :rotfl:
Take care all of you0 -
Good Morning all, school run this morning with my little DGS, weather not too bad quite wqindy and intermittent showers.Four weeks tomorrow until our holidays (not that I'm counting or anything
).We never tell the children until a week before we go and up until then we keep saying to them 'Oh not enough money for a holiday this year ,it's just days out '.so they are never sure if we are kidding them or not.
had a blood test this morning at the drs as my annual 'm.o.t.' for my clapped out old body is due in August, the day before we go on our hols, well at least its done and out of the way.
Today I am going to do some knitting and watch some catch-up t.v. for a couple of hours .no shopping to buy at all as I have lots of bits in the fridge to use up first.
I hope everyone has a good day
Take care all
