I love avocados. I eat the contents in the usual way, then smear the inside of the skin over my face, yes I look like a green lady:D

Let it dry, then rinse well. My skin looked brilliant and it is so well moisturised by the vitamin E in it.

You don't need a lot of it either.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

I think you can still be very glamourous on a budget and it's not those girls making you feel dowdy ITS YOU.
Self image is very important and with a few little tweaks you will be feeling just as confident and glamourous as you assume those ladies feel.

    1) Putting make up on everyday and carrying a hairbrush around with you to maintain being groomed throughout the day will make you feel smarter and a little bit of blusher to pale cheeks can really perk you up.

    2) Give yourself a home style manicure & pedicure as previously suggested - you could throw in a face pack, full body moisterise with whatever creams you have, add some mellow tunes in the background and light a few candles - you can have a relaxing spa type session.

3)Wearing shoes with a heel will automatically leave you feeling more glamourous and sexy. Even if its a 1 inch heel. If you wear tights - wear stockings for a change. Nobody will be able to see them (unless you want them to) but you will feel more sexy and feminine in yourself.

3)Troll the freebies board for free perfume & cosmetic samples. Or get in Boots/Department Store asking for free samples at all the counters. Put your best "posh" voice on and ask with confidence - they will throw samples at you assuming youre a BIG SPENDER.

4)Utilise the gym to help you lose a few pounds and gain more confidence.
BUT dont let the gym bunnies make you feel physically inferior - if they are at the gym the likeyhood is they have a hang up abount their body or they wouldnt be there trying to change it.
I have also found those "gym bunnies" are usually that wrapped up in themselves and how they look... nobody else gets any attention from them. So let your wobbly butt wibble free on the treadmill.

5)There is nothing like a change to make you feel fabulous and give you a new lease of life.
Change your hair colour/hair style, wear clothing you wouldnt normally wear due to lack of confidence.
Change your jewellery - wear large statement making earrings if your normally shy - wear a delicate chain around your neck if you normally have 600 rows of beads adorning you etc

    6) Smile - ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS smile - no matter where you are or how you are feeling (Funerals are the exception here).
A person who smiles oozes self confidence and creates good feelings in others - people just have to smile back.
Think of all the celebs on the red carpet...the most confident, glamourous folks in the world...and on that red carpet they are always smiling.

    7) And if all else fails ...s0d the lot of them and buy a big bar (cheap of course) of chocolate, snuggle down next to your hubby and watch a weepy movie on TV.

keep that chin up gal ...Bams x.x.x

I got a free haircut yesterday - mystery shopping. Also from time to time get free day passes at a local health club, I am 35, very OS but I hope a bit of a yummy mummy. Yes I have 3 kids but also a flat stomach due to the fact I feel as though I have never sat down for more than half an hour since ds1 was born 6 years ago! LOL but also yoga and a gym membership.
I have free cosmetics from https://www.cosmeticresearchonline.co.uk (HOPE THIS IS RIGHT...?) including organic stuff, and it's great!
Today I gave on my m&s £9 jeans, primark top (£1) and cardi from last year, hair still great from yesterdays free trip to the hair salon, and some primark sandals also in the sale. But I would never tell people that to their face, I just have learnt to say'thanks' rather thatn tell people how cheap things are or how long I have had them!

I take a tip from my dear nanna and go into boots for a good dose of perfume if I need a boost - she always used to go and get a squirt of chanel no.5 before an evening at the bingo;)
Got a magazine yesterday for 30p, one of those gossipy things, and its paid for itself in vouchers and also pics of anorexic celebs looking like they came out of a prison camp!
    Chin up!!!

Right about doing the gym for yourself. SHallowness is not a good quality and the sort of posey people we all have seen are just that, not much below the surface. And most men like a bit of *ss to grab hold of;)

  • I feel drabby (is that a word..lol) alot of the time where I look so rough/pale and tired due to being ill. Im 32 on Sunday and feel 82:eek:

On really bad days, I can do nothing but lay on the sofa in my jim jams. On a better day, I stick abit of slap on and so forth. I try and keep my hair nice all the time and having a short haircut is quite easy. Recently have tried colours again through my hair and has given me a confidence boost IYSWIM. It cost £20 to have a wash/cut/colour slices and blowdry with a half price voucher....this was at a salon too, so was very pampered.

I love posh make up items (clinique, dior, channel etc etc), but when there are items I need, I purchase from Ebay at half the cost-only buy what I need though. I also use Clinique skin care products and again purchase from Ebay at about 35% cheaper than a store.

I have sent emails off to companies just asking if they have any freebies and have received many. Your be surprised!

Weight issues-could you step up your exercise regime or have smaller portions. Staying at a healthy weight/BMI is very important for your health, especially as we get older as this can lead to further health complications.

You sound like a great woman and have achieved loads. So what if your not a glampuss....your YOU:D ;):p

    Hugs.

aswell as primark check out peacocks, their clothing range is fab this yr !

other things you can do to lift your spirits is get out at the wkend with the kids, dont know about you but just taking a walk on the beach / in the woods / park with the kids and hubby makes me feel better / happier :)

do you get to go out much ?
ive recently started mystery shopping and my social life has never been so good lmao , you get to go to some pubs / restaurants and get a free meal / drinks basically ,and get a small fee for doing so ( some pay mileage too)you have to submit the report and make mental notes of things ,but if you have a good memory / eye for detail its pretty easy work :)

agree with the college beauty / hairdressing treatments or DIY it ,get in a bubbly bath with candles and just relax,a glass of something helps i find ;)

sarahsaver lol @ your nanna ,what a fab idea ;)

    chin up ella :)

more cheap pick me ups I use...
Real coffee - only 99p a bag but I never drink instant
foot soak using a peppermint teabag and marbles in the botom of the bowl to massage your feet
ironing! Yes its true, I dont iron much but when I do it I always think it's easier to iron a shirt than solve world conflicts LOL.
Nanna also used to take a minature of brandy to slip into her and a friends' coffee at bingo to make it a cheaper night out:) She was very cheeky;)
Boots do a makeover for £5 but then you get £5 off no.7 products.
M&S sales. Just bagged £135 worth of clothes for £28, all 'limited collection' stuff, so it still looks posh, and I will impress OH on honeymoon.
Siting in the garden if it's sunny enough, for my coffee break.
Cheap magazine subs, like the 3 issues for £1, nearly always pay for themselves in vouchers.

    Decluttering.

Remembering that my kids appreciate their shirt has been ironed and that the food they eat was made by ME.

Yesterday I was a dirty lazy low down so and so cos I felt so ill I bought some sainsburys economy chicken pies  and the kids said 'don't worry mummy, yours would have been nice' Allow yourself the odd lapse.

Oh and theres a drink in somerfield less than 40p for a litre, their own brand, cranberry fizzy stuff. I love it and its so cheap, but it is still a treat.

I know exactly how you feel

but I bet there lives are empty. Yours is full you have a family that love you and a good head on your shoulders. Deep down I know who I would rather be.

Pick me ups I use are

    Long bath candles and music
    Slather on loads of moisturiser
Comb some condition on my hair and leave in for about 2 hours while I watch sex and the city dvds
paint my toe nails - you always feel abit glam with painted toe nails
Wear your bet pants to work
    and SMILE

    Your you!!!
