some other quote took from the AV forum on this tv:

"i have a technosonic lcd have my hdmi dvd plugged into it and having no problems i am quite pleased. i bought it at woolworths this week after having two medion tv which both broke down it nice to have a tv that works thats cheaper. the picture is clearer than the medion so if u are woolworth deciding between a medion tv at 600 quid or a technosonic at 500 quid my advice u want a tv that works get the technosonic tv"

ms01ma would this apply if you bought it online and returned it to a local store, or would u have to deal with woolies online ?

IT depends on the manager i would just deal with it in store
  • I know it's been mentioned but you should get 10 % discount with code and 5% with quidco ;)

    Potentially a £340 HD ready LCD :D

    That's not bad :D
  • Dont see how codes/quidco can be used if can only get it at £399 instore (£499 online)
  • It's going to be £399 online too.
  • has anyone tried plugging in a PC to this via VGA cable? does it work? is it good enough to watch movies and surf the web on?
    .
  • I just hope that I buy it from your store, will I have to escalate it to a manager over the shop assistant that I first speak to?

Surely the 1 year guarentee only applies if it is defective instead of unsatisfactory which could be disputable. At the end of the day a bargain is a good quality product at a good price. Just because Tat is cheap doesn't make it a bargain!!!

I think the problem may lie in the 16 ms response time which is quite high for the modern LCD.

Go check this out for yourselves at make your own decision.

When I spoke to the guy instore to find out his own interpretation of the return policy I mentioned the poor quality and advised him to see if it was a bad signal just in case. He said he would check it out!

Al I want is for people to enjoy there LCD's and in this case I would rather watch a CRT
  • were does it say about 16ms

ive seen this on another forum and people reckon its a thomson lcd.
    looks nearly exactly the same.

if it is the same this has 8ms
  • I am sure Technosonic brought and I identical case as the Thomson but I doubt very much they fitted the same LCD Panel.

16ms was my mistake that was on a Acer that was posted on the 1st page of this thread. However I cannot find a proper spec for the LCD anywhere!!

I just think you would be better off spending £150 more and getting proper spec LCD. I found this a Hyundai with a Samsung Panel

  • its a 1 year guarantee if faulty

28 days if you change your mind - as long as we can resell it we will take it back - i.e you can open it and use it - just repackage it

you will find the manager will always deal with expensive returns becuase we dont get many of them however you will be okay if you use it
