The warranty is for 12 months only, I confirmed it with the manager yesterday. You have to ring a number provided at sale (Woolworths technical help) and they will talk you through whatever has to be done i.e. returns/fixing etc.

The brightness isn't brilliant to be honest. I watched Rebus last night via sky+ and although Rebus is a dark shot programme it was a good test. It handled the programme well but in a couple of parts I felt it a little too dark and I had brightness full. It gets dark rather quickly with contrast low too.

Colour is amazing to be fair and there is pixelation when you are close to the tv i.e. within 5 feet but once you are sitting back the tv is excellent.

Think 720p is the best myself. Most people use 720p or 1080i.

i just ordered and the email i got back

    Expected Delivery 30-Sep-2007 !!!!!! ?

I just ordered as well for a store collection and found the same:

the website says: 'collect in store: Product due for delivery 25 October 2006'

but the email order confirmation states: 'Expected Delivery: 02-Oct-2007'

I thought it could just be that the store currently has them in stock and they will reserve one for me - rather than shipping one to the store from the warehouse - and have just screwed up the delivery year.

Have you heard any more about when you will actually receive yours?

    Regards
    Sunil

Whats this quidico thing then? I saw the tele in the woolies today - bit worried about only 1 yr warranty though - Interested in hearing about this £20 extra saving though please!

There are cashback sites where u get money if u purchase from sites but get to that site via their referral scheme

I used to use linemypocket, but quidco offer better cashbacks (100% I think). But then they do take £5 admin fee after a year and every year after that
    Taken from their site

"The £5 admin fee is never charged, but only deducted when a user has earned enough to cover it. It is deducted annually based on your registration date (and is only deducted from transactions made from that date). It will always be deducted from the first £5 earned in each year of your membership.

The yearly £5 user fee deducted from the payouts is the only thing that keeps our site going. Other cashback sites take a large cut from their users' commissions to fuel their incentive programs.

It is our hope that receiving 100% of the commissions on your purchases back is incentive enough to tell your friends and family and help them save"

But cant complain, linemypocket offer 2.5% only, quidco offer 5% therefore u already covered the cost of that £5

    go to http://www.quidco.com
    and make more savings!!!

PS I took out new car insurance back in July with Prudential. Did u know they offer £100 cashback? nice for me!!!
Linemypocket offer only £50, so all that time I used to use linemypocket, I could of made more savings had I used quidco.

I forgot to say, I purchased using my Barclays connect card. I have platinum banking, which I offers 2 years free extended warranty.
Once I get my tele, I will phone Barclays. I believe that is still a feature of platinum banking.
Note, u dont need lots of money to have a account, just taking out different stuff from barclays.
