THATS AN ERROR ITS SINCE GONE TO 499 GO IN AND THEY WILL HAVE TO HONOUR IT0 -
they told me that they should be £499 but the shop has been given permission to add an extra £100 off so I only paid £399. Even though i havent seen it yet it does seem a good bargain for a TV for my bedroom.0

Hi all
just spoke to a very very helpful manager in Belfast. Yes its true 5 stores got them this week inc Norwich, Tamworth and Glasgow al sold off. a store email has said they will get some more this week,walk in first come frist served and not on web site. None will be coming to NI. (pity). I have a few friends close to norwich who may do the necessary for me. ...I suppose it depends which model number it is?
Cheers0 -
Hi magic 105,
There were still four on the shop floor in Norwich as of 1800 Sat when I picked mine up. It is an Acer AT3203. That's about as much as can tell you till I go away read the book and get it set up!
++++ADDED++++++
Okay it's up and running. V. easy to set up and am now finding my way around the bells and whistles to adjust picture and sound to my personal preferences.Even without external speakers the sound is much better than I had been expecting. It does NOT have an integral Freeview tuner but is working fine with my old Sagem box. There's a helpline number and a free two year exchange/refund warranty. I'm pleasantly impressed...and the kids are loving it!Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0 -
Would this be any good as a PC monitor?0
-
Erm, a 32" pc monitor? I hadn't thought of that but is does have a special games mode (also movie, concert, sport, standard). Apparently games mode gives
"...exquisite graphics for modern video games providing lifelike entertainment while protecting your eyesight by adjusting brightness and contrast. What's more, games mode provides a heightened audio expereience."
...if that's what you were thinking.
I'm no expert on these thnigs but currently I'm a pretty happy shopper.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0 -

Thanks all, spoke to Norwich they have a few in stock, cannot honour the £399 price though. I have one reserved until tomorrow closing time, but may relant on it as the cost and hassle of getting it across at £499+ £75 I can get a good tosh for £625 approx and then the warranty etc.If it was £399 and down the road well thats adifferent story. so unless something changes i have one on hold that one of you guys may want ?
happy to help...
