So now people have determined this is a rebaged Thompson does that make it a good deal despite some of the comments made above ?
It seems what I saw demonstrated in the shop is not a true reflextion of its attributes"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -

I'm watching Pearl Harbor Dir Cut (sorry !) at the moment and I have to say I am blown away by the quality at this price. I certainly have no regrets. Everyone will be different but all I can say is don't judge the tv purely on a store viewing.
I mentioned this fact to the manager this morning and he said he had been meaning to set it up better but he didn't have the time which I thought was a little weird. Anyway he didn't lose my sale and boy am I glad!!0 -

Well that remote looks the same as used on the Thomson DHD4000 PVR to me. Wonder if u had both whether they would interfere?

I have still to get it set up so can not comment yet but it seems a good deal :j , I was told that Woolworths were making a loss on the sets so they could get more add on sales and more customers through the doors, one assistant also said that it was to annoy Argos and Tesco prior to the Woolworths catalogue launch.
So does it defo say Thomson under the badge on the set?0 -

I've got both and so far they don't seem to be interfering.0 -
is this wall mountable. just ordered one0

It defo says on both the set and control, on the set it is a printed Thompson badge very small, but when I was instore I peeled back the label on the set (I know I should ot have done this
) and it was blank so I guess they do not all have this, the manager also said that the next lot may be silver.

Who's gonna brave it and take the badge off?0

avi I have had a good look at the back and it does not look wall mountable and I asked when I bought it and was told that it was not. Having said this the Thompson which looks identical states that it is. This is my first LCD so not sure what I should be looking for.0

On some sites it says the Thomson is wall mountable but not VESA compatible.0
