just answered my own question, taken a look at the PDF on the Thomson site......the DVI mentioned above is only for taking audio from a DVI source and NOT picture, this is handled via a HDMI>DVI conversion lead if you want to use the DVI out from your PC graphics card (u can also use VGA of course) unfortunately the native resolution of this set is only 1280x720 for PC input...on a 1366 x 768 panel...crazy! in other words you can't get 1:1 pixel mapping from a PC input even via VGA and will no doubt produce horrible overscanning if u use a DVI>HDMI lead.....which is very disappointing if want to use this set for PC use.

Without checking my unit as I am not at home to check i think my is set up on the pc as 1366x768 and selected as widescreen on the TV and works brilliant!

In stock today at Woolworths in Carlisle if it helps anyone.
    British Ex-pat in British Columbia!
  • I had to ask for mine - quite fun trying to get it in a Fiat Seicento - hence the sence of me in the carpark taking the Screen out of the box and sitting it upright in the car with the packaging all over brother and sister :o  :rotfl:

Suggest reading further down the PDF for the 32" and not the 28" resolution ;)
They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.

I posted about the Toshiba because I am sure I read somewhere that they are suppose to be the best for LCD. Is that true ?

The Hatachi is also £599 at Argos but I dont you dont get the extended warranty with it

Hitachi 32LD6600 32in Widescreen LCD TV.

Seems everyone is very happy with their new £399 Technosoninc though
