New Vanquis Card

I have been a victim of fraud and have lost a lot of money out of my bank account in the past, so i am very wary. I had a call from vanquis yesterday and they accepted me for a granite credit card. Before i was even accepted they requested me to give them my bank details before i could proceed any further, otherwise they couldn't tell me whether i was accepted or not. Did anyone else here have to do that? I'm concerned about being conned.

This is standard practice no need to be concerned it is basically to setup a direct debit, either for minimum payment every month or for whole balance every month, in the next breath they will also try and sell you their version of Payment Protection which by all accounts is sketchy at best, and they will ask if you want an immediate cash advance I said no to this cash rates are sky high.

Ni need to be concerned they are a huge PLC company and your bank details will be kept secure.

Must admit, when I got my Granite I wasn't asked for bank details. I just logged onto myvanquis when I got my card and set up a DD then.

I would say that is quite unusual TBH when I got my granite card I had the usual Vanquis "procedure" phone call................

Oh I had the "procedure" phone call, trying to sell me PP and a cash advance and all that, but I wasn't asked for DD details
