I gave it a shot even though I was turned down by vanquis last week and it's gone to be manually processed and I get a reply (which will most likely be no!) in 10-14 days :D

Is vanquis really that bad? i've read as much as I can and it seems that as long as you're careful and pay up in full, there should be no problems at all?

    Is there something I've missed?

If you pay in full yeah they a good credit building card,as their website shows they have helped 800,000 people build up their credit, they don't tell you how many people have actually gone downhill due to this vanquis lot, basically vanquis targets people who have had money troubles b4 who may have not managed money properly they are the ones they want, these people are the weakest link side of the market, give them stupid credit limits and in the end most of them break, then go broke

I agree, I have never had a single problem with them. But then ive not caused any. I've stayed within my credit limit and made my payments in plenty of time.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.
