    Morning all

Ruddy muggy here again today - was tipping it down when we woke up but it's just grey and blugh now......as long as I can get a load of washing dry then I'll be happy.

Spent yesterday afternoon at the hospital with DD2 who fell at school and hurt her ankle, they refused to xray it and said it's just a sprain but to go back in 3 days if it's no better and then they'll check and see if it's broken....which is really helpfull! As she still can't put her foot to the floor without bursting into tears, she's all snuggled up on her bed being waited on hand a foot.

Bang goes this months savings, cost me £29 in taxis yesterday to get her home and to the hospital (which I don't begrudge obviously but it does seem to be that every time I think I've got a few quid to put away something like this happens and I'm back to square one)

Pooky, big hugs for DD. Like I told you, I broke my foot walking when I was a teenager-I knew I broke it though, I heard it snap *shudder* At least now you have that tiny tiny cushion so that you CAN do the taxi if you need to.

I just had some reduced BBQ chicken drumsticks - yummy.

That White Paper is a bit worrying. How will the amounts per GP area be decided? Need? Population? Definitely sounds like a privatising move, not sure at all. I wonder where school nurses fit into this plan, since they've finally been reinstated in several PCTs

Butti, yes it is ok to take out a CDL, as it's being used for education, not beer. And congrats too :D
Happy birthday to eliiemoo's DS, hope he gets lovely presents and has a wonderful day.

Hello everybody, more back to normal today. I did the shred, had a shower, posted eBay parcel and emailed man about taekwando....if I don't get a reply I'll go anyway just in case.

    Afternoon all.

Butti, congrats on the masters, I'd say a career development loan is more like an investment than a debt, a bit like a mortgage.

Elli, 20 seven year olds . I hope it's a good party!

Pooky, sorry to hear about DD's ankle, better safe than sorry though.

Gonzo and Jo congrats on the niece/nephew!

Claire, I'm still planning to bring my beads to the meet to see if anyone's interested in buying them, there might be something there to help you with your stock levels. There's quite a few different gemstones but it's mainly chips, some handmade beads and some swarovski crystals I think.

What's this about a white paper? I'm a bit out of the loop with the news but it doesn't sound good. Where will expensive patients end up?
    Hello everyone else.

Well today I'm taking all my receipts into social services so they can review my financial assessment. They don't like people going there in person but tough, I'm not risking them getting lost in the post. Then I'm going to Dunelm Mill to see if there's any cheap storage for the top of my bedroom drawers so everything doesn't keep falling down the back. Then I'm picking up my printer and working on my book. I redrafted a chapter last night and I'm really happy with it, but it needs to be longer.

    oops long post, sorry
