  • I agree with those who say the company doesn't have a leg to stand on. It says you can order as many as you like - it doesn't say "one per household".

As someone else on this thread has said, they are probably just trying their luck to see if you will pay up.

It's mean of people to give you a bashing because you did what you reasonably thought was allowed.
  • i still cannopt get this to work i have put EARLYBIRD IN THE BOX AND ITS STILL COMING UP WITH £22.99 is this only working on that link then (i mean only that one bunch of flowers) Im confused. Why wont it work. I want some flowers no one ever bys me any
  • yep it only works on that one bunch of flowers. And im not paying £22.50 for them now
  • This company shouldn't offer discount codes if it hasn't got the technical capabilities to prevent the system being abused. They continually send out codes that should only be used against certain bunches of flowers, but can nearly always be used against other bunches. If they are really that concerned then they should close the loopholes in their system.

The company use images and statements on their site which mislead customers. See the images for carnations - lovely looking bunch - in reality you get 12 blooms and a single piece of greenery (most mortifying when sent as gift). In addition their landing page clearly states "FREE CHOCOLATES WITH ALL FARM FRESH FLOWERS" - the carnations are in this section, but you don't receive chocolates. If you email them about misleading advertising they just advise you that your comments will be passed on and that's the last you hear of it.

Imho,we on MSE should be supporting the OP not giving her such a hard time. IMO the people who ruin these deals for us all are those who don't register on MSE and simply take the deals and don't offer any in return. I would imagine that the OP has realised the error of her ways and is feeling really stressed by all of this. Good luck to you I hope it all works out.

"the people who ruin these deals are those who dont register on MSE"

So the MSE member who takes the p*** ordering a freebie 50 times deserves our support. I think it is possiblbly people like this MSE member that ruin all the freebies for everyone (member or not). Might be worth you thinking about that one...
  • The voucher works on the summer delight bouquet. and select to add the value pack. (teddy bear and fudge)

I'm not saying that ordering 50 bunches of flowers is right. What I am saying is that she is at least is contributing something to this community by warning others (albeit by means of a request for help) who may decide to use the codes, that the company may decide to try and recover the costs. Those who simply lurk contribute nothing and yet reap the rewards of this site.

Also, many deals/codes/freebies are meant for designated customers, so it could be argued that we are all guilty of "ruining" it for others by posting on MSE and then taking advantage of them. After all if a company has for example budgeted the deal cost for 100 customers and suddenly gets 3000 it is going to have an impact on its finances and it is therefore unlikely to continue running promotions. Therefore those customers who would have been legitimately entitled to the offer lose out!!

I think regardless of the rights or wrongs of what she has done, there is no need for the nastiness that has been shown towards her. I think in the first few opening posts to this thread it was made quite apparent to her that many MSE members did not approve of her actions. So to continue with the public slating and humilation is pointless - I think she's got the message. Whether you offer your support or not is entirely upto you. I would rather support her and work towards finding out the legal situation with respect to using discount codes so that we all benefit in the long term.
