Valueflora are a bunch of muppets - there is an even worse problem with their system and changing a url when ordering could mark the flowers as paid for when they're not - i did try and email them to warn them - but no reply. So they deserve everything they get.
As for your problem - i'd send the letter recorded delivery to the solicitors and insist on a reply within 5 working days. Send it, at least, recorded delivery. Refer to ValueFlora as their clients and point out all the above arguments: i.e. you entered the gratuitous contract in good faith as you had seen one of their promotional vouchers being advertised by one of their affiliates/agents and duly took advantage of it. Furthermore, you maintain that should there have been any issue with the promotion - they should have sought instructions from yourself prior to dispatching the flowers and sending invoices for them.
You might wish to enclose a copy of their letter too (although that would of course mean admitting you'd received it).
You could also refer to your phone call to them and that they had previously informed you that they are not acting on behalf of ValueFlora and ask them to confirm that this is still the case - and if so please ignore your letter. (Oh and start the letter 'withour prejudice' too - just to cover yourself).
This will show them you're as serious as them about it - and not going to cave (and if they were trying to scare you - it'll also show them it didn't work). It'll mean you're communicating with solicitors who should act in good faith and get back to you. AND it'll also show them that any further threats will simply result in more legal costs for them.
Then if you continue to hear from them - then you have an option of going to the CAB or getting a solicitor's opinion on it.0 -
Wish i had known about this, what else is there to a fantastic life other than flowers & chocs0

Hi,
If you go to their website & scroll down there is the profile of the managing director (doesn't look very old!) with a Manchester address. Hope this is of some use.

I'm affaid I agree with the company, 50 is just taking the p*ss and no doudt the freebie was removed and therefore others missed out because of it.
Yes I like a good freebie and will push it, but 50!
I wish you well, but you've brought it upon yourself and I wonder why the company is meft at you taking £1300 from them?Regards,
Dave
If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button0 -
Its people like you that ruin vouchers and promotions for everyone else. 50 is taking the !!!!!!. In my opinion, ordering 5 would be taking the !!!!!! as well - thats just greedy and abusing the promotion.
I have absolutely no sympathy for you whatsoever, you dug your own grave there im afraid.0 -
There is a new voucher code for them, I used to paypal to pay the extra. I did spend money as well as using the voucher so hopefully no one will think i taking the ****.
